My work around for shudder is to drive in either M4 or M5 around town so that RPM doesn't drop so low.

wow, seen much and read a lot on the Colorado, I bought a used 1 in 2020, a 2016 had 51k miles on it, is the LS 4 dr. model with some addons, like, chrome full length step side bars and tow package, last owner put in a Panasonic stereo system, sounds good to my 62 yr old ears, the tow package is a plus to me as I plan on getting an rv trailer to pull and camp in, in the future. Only repairs done was it coughed up an error code that required the PCV valve to be replaced, a 70 dollar part and another hundred for my mechanic to put it in on no notice repair same day, I even helped. Anyway, I have driven it twice from Nv. to Ark. and back, no problems and now once from Nv. to Ca. again, no problems, only change I did was to install all K&N filters throughout vehicle for this run to Ca. no problems, in fact I have noticed an increase in power and mileage since changing them. over 63 thousand miles now, no big or major issues, I am enjoying my truck, only thing needed right now is new lenses for the headlights, as they are so fogged over there is no rescuing them with strippers/cleaners/coatings they currently sell, but, try and find them (the headlight covers) for sale, killer. OH, and no, no shudder here.

True on the squeak man I found the squeak but I’m taking it the dealer is the brake lines in the back rubbing on a bracket. And about the paint is true also. I was surprised to see that it was bare metal no primer. And this boy is a 2018 with just 10,000 mile what can you say is pretty, but nobody makes anything good anymore.

I hate that when you shift into four wheel drive, there’s no lamp on the instrument cluster that stays on continuous during operation. I have had a great amount of time getting in and out of my truck, and hitting my knee on the knob and engaging four wheel drive without noticing that I did so.

honestly i love it, fits like a glove. theres nothing about it dont love. sadly i was in a write off crash on monday.. i can happily say the hood is one tough S.O.B. I am aiming to be back into a Colorado again.. and will likely make the hood one of the first purchases.

The squeak part is stupid. They shouldn't squeak, and it they do, it can be fixed. My Colorado and canyon don't have squeaks. One is 2016, other is 2018. Change the oil way before the oil life monitor says to, and the engine will last a long time. I have one with trifecta tune and lift, other is stock except for the windjammer. It makes the throttle so nice. Otherwise, you can't go wrong buying one. I would stay away from the 2015, just do to the fact it's the first year of the new model.
@faceface41714 жыл бұрын
I dont know how you have that exhaust. It looks good but I took it off after 1 trip because it sounds like a ricer when you give gas and it downshifts.
@casuallyuploaded97894 жыл бұрын
thats fair, its alot more rice then some of the other exhaust options out there but its certainly not THE WORST lol. i'm also working on some other performance modifications to hopefully adjust the tone and overall sound while adding (hopefully) substantial horsepower and torq once its dyno tuned.

Casually Uploaded you have a 3.6L V6 gas naturally asperated engine? And you easily get 23mpg? I have a 2021 GMC Canyon Crewcab 3.6L gas V6 natural asp and on my first tank I am getting about 18mpg. You have a Diablo tuner? What model? Any other tuners you know of that works on our Canyon/Colorados? Thanks.
@casuallyuploaded97893 жыл бұрын
Yupp the truck i had in this video is a 3.6 V6 i was using the diablo tuner which is great for the 2016. It didnt offer as much up front torq and horsepower but it was much cheaper. However best bang for the buck for these trucks 2015- current model is trifecta, their tunes are amazing however they will relock your speed to whatever your tires are rated for

@casuallyuploaded97894 жыл бұрын
So im just using a canned tune on a hand held tuner from diablo. Its a gasser, a diesel fully tuned & deleted does effect smog depending on your state. I've never really looked to see what Canadas stance is on deleted/ tuned diesels

Thank you for the great review of the Colorado. Would your recommend the Canyon/Colorado or the Sierra/Silverado? I wanted to purchase one of them. Local dealer has a Canyon crew cab long box and a new style Silverado double cab with the 5.3 V8/8 speed. The Silverado is only $2 000 more. Fuel economy, at least on paper, is very similar. I live in Canada so it's 14L/100 km in the city for the Canyon and 14.7L/100 km for the Silverado in the city. I'd use the truck as a daily drive and to run a small lawn care business on weekends from April to November. The Canyon felt a bit too small and the Silverado a bit too big. Any recommendation? Thank you.
@casuallyuploaded97894 жыл бұрын
Wish i could say that the Colorado felt larger, but its the same inside as the Canyon. If you plan to tow anything like summer toys, winter toys or lawn equipment i would suggest a diesel version of the Canyon or Colorado simply because i know they can easily surpass the Silverados KM/L. hell even my 16 colorado was getting mid 20s last summer (after a tune) The gas version is quicker sure but you have so much more for torq in a diesel and if you can find a tuner you can bump those hp numbers up by 50-75hp and torq a good 130-160tq. you can certainly make the truck feel larger if you run a larger wheel and level it out. but it comes down to what you want, i felt the same way when shopping, a silverado for me as a daily was just too much truck.
@joeraptor14 жыл бұрын
@@casuallyuploaded9789 Thanks for the reply and feedback. A Canyon/Colorado diesel would be a sweet ride but they are so expensive where I live. I'll have to stick with the gas motor to make it fit my budget. When I took the Canyon out for a ride, the motor was ok...definitely not a super charged powerhouse but it was decent for moving the truck around. The 8 speed transmission felt slow and sluggish in changing gears. Mind you, when I test drove the 8 speed in the Silverado, it was super aggressive in shifting but sometimes, it felt like it did not know what gear to select. Often, it would delay shifting from 1 to 2 and or aggressively shift into it. The salesperson said the Canyon's 8 speed and the Silverado's 8 speed are completely different. The Canyon's 8 speed is the same as what's seen in GM's SUVs while the Silverado's is more heavy duty. Both are to close in price to know what to really do.
