I got the stoptech bbks on my '16. Love em. I honestly dont know why people generally prioritize engine mods over brakes. The stock engine is perfectly capable of getting you into trouble that the stock brakes cant get you out of. For me it's good brakes and tires first, everything else second.

FYI, you installed the rotors on the wrong side of the car. The directional slots are supposed to point toward the front of the car - not to be confused with the directional veins inside the rotor, which point to the rear.

What vehicle did your 4 pots come off of? Are they a direct fitment to the stock hardware? Are they for the front or rear?

@@vinihidalgo96 They came off a 17 STI both front and rear and will directly bolt on. I will be using the hardware that came with the calipers. I am not sure the stock caliper hardware is recommended, but I could be wrong.

What you refer to as the viewing window on the rear rotor is the window that allows you to adjust the emergency brake. There’s a spur you can rotate with a flat head that extends or retracts the pad

These were used calipers which is the way to go for calipers. You can't really mess them up because they are just solid pieces of metal and rebuild kits are not too expensive. I definitely like Brembo because it looks OEM but there are some other good brands out there as well

If you have gold ones you will need adapter bracket for the rear and sti or stailess brake lines for the rear as your stock ones wont work

Hello if you can help me, I want to swap brembo brakes to my wrx 2020 eyesight, the issue is that it has an electronic handbrake, and it has a motor that activates this function. Do you know if I need something additional to install this kit or can I only install it at the front?

I'm not sure, I would see what others are doing. Some vehicles require software to retract and some of a procedure to do it. In some cars as long as the ebrake is off you are ok but I'm not sure about the wrx

I installed my Brembos from a 2019+ STI on my 2016 WRX. My brake pedals are very mushy tho, i have to really step on it to engage the brakes. Did you have this problem? (My mechanic bled the brakes lines twice btw, all new SS brake lines as well)

I was going to suggest bleeding but if you've already done that not sure. It's possible there is air in the ABS system. Sometimes the ABS system on some vehicles require a computer aided bleeding process. I'm not sure if the subie is that way or not but that could be the issue

@@willfish5961 i did fix it/it fixed itself lol. It was a bleeding issue. When i first got the car back the pedal had 'air" in it, it felt very mushy but the brakes worked, you just needed to push a little harder. After getting home and staring the car a day or 2 after i noticed like 80% of the mushiness was gone. And after more driving it was nonexistent but i did make an appointment at the dealer to get it brakes bled. They did it and just noticed it was the fluid was a bit dirty.

He hasn't experienced any issues. The amount of brake fluid difference is small. You just have more pistons now pressing down then before.

Not sure. They are the same Brembo brakes that are installed on the STi but I think these were an aftermarket upgrade for the guy my brother purchased them used from because they were labeled Brembo before we sandblasted them rather than STi like they come from the factory. As long as you are getting them from the same generation, they should work.

@@TheSundaeDrive Asked this before I found on NASIOC that KNS Brakes says for 08-17 STI Brembos require no rear bracket and only 04-07 STI Brembo rears need a bracket. So these are probably from an 04-07 STI then instead! Either way they look great!

My brother picked them up used for 2400 (200 in shipping) which included rotors, SS brake lines, and pads but that was for a very nice set. If you are planning to get them powder coated they don't need to be perfect. You don't want a set that is dented or anything like that but the finish doesn't have to be pretty.
