2015 to 2016 was indeed the best era of GTA Online. Gunrunning was the beginning of the end, even though the update itself at the time was fine - what it spawned has since been anything but.

Opp Mk1 was a step too far. Then came Doomsday Heist, Smuggler's Run, After Hours, etc.

yeah, "Feltzer1" definitely would have been the Feltzer from GTA4. since 5 is built on top of 4 in some ways, particularly in regard to the vehicle physics, given that you can import a car from 4 and it's fundamentally functional in 5 with no tweaks, I suppose it's possible that R* would have used GTA4 vehicles initially when testing vehicle physics. it certainly would have been easier than making a new car just to test physics initially.

As an OG player these yearly races have been a nostalgic trip down the memory lane! Great idea! 2015 was probably the best year for me personally, Heist Update kept me busy for years, T20 was my go to ride for a looong time with awesome cool rides like Mamba, Fränken Stange, Stirling GT, all the cool engine sounds!. Never much cared for the business stuff that followed.

17:40 The original Feltzer is the GTA 4 version, which is based on the pre-facelift R230 SL-class.

This was the best sounding round! Also, I would definitely put on the podcast if you got Lok to give up some race tips. I wouldn't be surprised if I heard Lok programmed their own G-Meter and race telemetry overlay to be that fast XD

The Franken Stange is far and away one of my favorite cars ever released in gta5. It sounds incredible, it handles mostly predictably or at the least expectedly. And it looks gorgeous too. I wish rockstar took how good that car is and put it into the way they develop other cars. It’s so fun to drive!

The heists update was such a great period of GTA online. 2015-16 was the end of rockstars sanity.

The Osiris is a underrated and great car, not the fastest but it holds up as a proper supercar

What's so good about the franken stange sound? To me it just sounds like a dominator. The blackfin and casco sound so much better. Stuff like the xa21 or the jugular is great too.

already talked about during stream, at some point he'll look into it and find a way to maintain 60fps _and_ make the stream/recording still look good. the reason he's locked to 85 is because at that FPS the stream is at a good quality

Still can't believe they haven't reused the Fränken Stange for any new cars since, instead they chose the lame, quiet, supercharger sound of the Tampa... I'd buy such muscle car (like the PH Gaunlet Hellhound) in a heartbeat 'cause I rly don't like how the Fränken Stange looks...

@@Andy-bl2oq mostly better lines, knowing all the different cars pretty well, and then some shortshifting, minor boosts here and there etc. All of that chained together make some good lap times

You also have to bare in mind that you're still playing on 85 fps and everyone infront of you is on a faster 58-60 fps, i think over the whole race you are losing so much time
