2015 Chemistry Tour - Tips for students from Nobel prize winner W.E. Moerner

On September 29, 2015 Prof. Moerner visited the University of Amsterdam Faculty of Science. First-year Chemistry students had the opportunity to ask him questions about his research and his scientific career, in a ‘Chemistry Tour’ at Science Park Amsterdam. This is a compilation of his tips to the students.
Prof. William E. Moerner (1953) was, together with Eric Betzig and Stefan Hell, awarded the 2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry 'for the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy'. Moerner heads The Home of Single-Molecule Spectroscopy at Stanford University (USA). He applies this techniques to explore chemical, physical and biological phenomena.
