Thank you_ your video is prefect to help and I’m a WOMAN but I got this. My only concern is the jack and making sure it’s secure. But it’s super easy. Your video is one of the best.

Good video sir. It was good that you used the OEM Delco filter. These vehicles are known for timing chain issues so fresh, clean, properly filtered oil bathing the chains is essential. One little tip: Go to Dick's Sporting Goods & get a $3 hockey puck to put on top of your floor jack. The puck serves as a cushion & avoids harsh metal to metal contact between the jack and your subframe.

Thanks for the insight! Now that you mention it makes perfect sense, I was a dealership technician and we always had a rubber block to use for the floor jacks.

Video was excellent, definitely not easy to get to filter , and engine best be cooled down, or burn arm off.

Accurate, the hardest part is finding the right angle to put the oil filter on. Everything else is fairly simple.

Those jack stands have locking pins…it’s a double safety measure so that the jack stands don’t accidentally drop!

Hello. Did you have to use a oil filter wrench to remover filter or is it removable by hand? Also do you hand tighten filter or use a wrench. Thanks in advance for your answer.

At 2:00+ put the safety pins in the Jack stands. PS At 9:00 you should have prefilled the filter about 1/3 to 1/2 so the oil pump isn’t running dry the first few seconds.

Great info I appreciate it! I never heard that about filling the oil filter some. I think that’ll be great for my 2004 Tahoe, but that may be difficult on this vehicle because the filter is horizontal.

The drain bolt location need to be relocated. That's a design flaw in the pan. The oil runs back with car lifted

Why would you think that only in "the hood" do you hear sirens? In any city in the USA if you are near a major street or expressway you will hear emergency vehicles going by. Be thankful for the first responders that provide these services.
