For 2015 I am getting rid of current wreaths on my house (see in my 2014 light show video) and replacing them with these Pixel wreaths that I have fabricated. Here is a sneak peek of one running a sequence of effects I put together. Stay tuned for the "How To" video on building this to be posted in the near future!

Rodworks Gene Just those text sequences probably 45 min to an hour. It is much more time when I am programming the element in a show though so it complements the effects of the other elements as well as matching the music.

On a side note Matt. What is the longest distance you have between one of your controllers and the beginning of the 100 pixel string in your show.? I'm gonna try and start this up this winter and I want to start with 1 controller and 16 strands. But I'm gonna need some extensions. If I am gonna do it

David Marlow About 45 feet, but I make sure to put a null pixel every 12 to 15 feet to prevent signal degradation.

Have you used any power injection in your setup or does the dual power supply per each controller resolve that headache?

What's a null pixel

David Marlow No power injection, I just use the dual power supply on each controller. The only exception is that I do power the strings for the pixel matrix from both sides so they do not look dim as it goes down the strand.

Nic Pagan It is a pixel that is placed in the middle of a long distance run to repeat the signal. You set up null pixels in the controller so they are ignored and never actually light up

Something I think would be amazing is a couple laser lights mounted on the roof. I was amazed by the Christmas shows that used them and I don't think they are horribly expensive.

Iffla Productions I will be 100% pixels this year. If you watch last years video the wreaths and the snowflakes were traditional LED's, they will be replaced with these new elements I am fabricating and I expect it will have a huge impact on the show. I am also adding some lasers and wall washer floods.
