hi man, nice review..... i got a question, i heard that there is a problem with the monster 821, when u r going on high speeds( say 130+) ...u feel irritating vibrations in ur fingers and wrist ... is it true ?

I cannot recall, but you will always have some kind of vibrations on motorcycles. More engine capacity might help a little and a V4 too, but what is more disturbing is the wind at higher speeds as this is a naked bike.

guys m planning to buy a ducati monster 821.. but m confused between e red and dark colour options.. red has e typical ducati flavor but e one dark looks more muscular... pls leave some suggestions to help me with my choice

I cannot really tell as I have not driven the 1200 Monster. I can only compare the 696 with the 821 and despite being the same bike the engine makes such a difference. I can only imagine that the jump from the 821 to the 1200 will be a similar one. Though, I would say the 1200 Monster as it is a naked bike has already too much power and insufficient wind protection to go really fast (higher speeds), but for sure makes hell a lot of fun when accelerating. cheers

superb bike...however I vote 696/796 all the way!821 has become havier and tires me more!With a race remap /race air filter it turns into a litle beast perfect for both,short and long travels! I am getting off the 600rr honda. ..which is a good bike but not so much commuting oriented!

I don't know how much it is in feet, but in meters I'm 1,84m tall. Hope that helps.

A huge deal breaker.. 796 and 696 = 6000mile maintenance required by ducati. Thats $1000-$1200 per 6k.. 821 = 18,000 maintenance, so its longer between and you save big $$$$$

It's a nice engine and well powers for the Monster. There isn't really a need for more power in a naked bike, but hey, that comes from a car enthusiast with a bike license and not vice versa.

It is in the winter months for sure, in summer it is just too hot, too extreme.

Mickey Bauer Black isn't a good color at all for the UAE, not only it gets hotter quicker, it does get dirty and dusty way more and it's more visible.
