This is the best sounding V-8 engine I have heard when it comes to non American V8s... i've seen videos of the Kia K 900 5.0 as well and to me that engine doesn't sound good with a straight pipe. This Hyundai 5.0 v8 sounds really nice straight piped 💯💯

I bought a 2012 5.0 v8 rspec last year with fairly low mileage…this car!!!!…wow…definitely not the fastest out there but it’s sick!!!…apart from much needed brake upgrade it has it all…comfort, sick power and the looks…and just saying if you remove or bypass the traction control fuse you can burn tires with this car all day long…with class…lol…love love this car!!!…and yea it’s reliable!!!!holly shit is it ever!!!

Did you ever get the pipes put back on? How's the drone? I recently bought an 09 and the stock exhaust reminds me of a 90's Towncar. My 04 Maxima with a muffler delete sounds amazing and only drones a bit at 50mph and going up hills, but it isn't completely unbearable.

@@JavierSanchez-yj2ee Best bet, if you're like me and prefer the older body style, 09-14 models are cheap and come with either a 4.6 or 5.0. That 2010 I had I picked up for 18k back in 2015. Probably a lot cheaper now.

Nikhil Kumar thanks for the comment. I wouldn't recommend doing this on the v6 because you're not gonna get the same sound. My last car was a v6 challenger w/muffler delete and even though it sounded louder, it didn't have the same tone of a v8.

Thanks for the video. I have a Kia K900 V8 and am wanting to do the same because it's too quiet and that V8 sounds too good to be kept quiet. Just curious...have you had any droning in the cabin after you did this or has everything been fine? Will most body shops do this?

I had some drone for a few days right after I got it done, typically when I drove in Eco mode, but Normal and Sport were fine. I felt like stock was too quiet as well, especially for the V8. It's been about two years since I got it done, and I still love it and get compliments. I don't know if a body shop will be able to do it, but most exhaust shops definitely should. GTorres0709 there isn't really any drone when driving under 65 mph, and over 65 mph the drone is very minimal. But the sound while driving in sport mode at full throttle is definitely worth it!

With resonators it targets specific rpm's manily for highway drone. If you delete resonators then you run into drone on any car, the true way of finding the loudness you want with performance and not alot of drone is going catless then running a full "catback" exhaust that captures the tone you want and if that isn't loud enough for you then muffler delete it but beware lol then it's loud ass fuck.

KissMyAxe no mine is only piped to one opening on each side, but you can hardly tell unless you look at it directly. They offered to add a 'Y-pipe' if I wanted to connect both openings, but that would've been extra and I decided not to.

MrLegacy36 I got my 2018 G80 for 39k used - make sure they are certified and still under warranty. The radio in one can’t be replaced with an aftermarket and you have to get the exact right one for your vin or it won’t work ($2300-$4000!?!) 2017/2018 are the only 5.0 (ultimates) that can do Apple car play or android auto. Don’t let the gas mileage scare you, its eco mode is seriously eco - I got 30mpg on it in my trip from Ohio to DC (through the mountains) .... it will cruise 35 mph in 6th...it tries to keep the rpm around 1500 to 2k, even flooring it in eco mode it rarely will go over 4K. Put it in sport mode and holy cow ... you’ll be lucky to get 12 mpg. It keeps the rpm around 2.5grand or higher.... the suspension tightens up and with Michelin Pilots you can really take the corners. Never put in anything lower than 93 octane. It’s so much fun to see the surprise on people’s faces when it takes off...

I've had straight pipes on 06 545 BMW. And 10 550 BMW sounded great kept factory stainless tips as well when I got my ultimate I was sad at 1st divorce had to sell both BMWS my dualy for work buy smaller truck for job and got new genesis 5.0 ultimate was year old certified pre owned got for 21k with 18 K miles sticker price was 67 K and extra 1500 got 20 year power train 6 year 60k number pretty much warnty starts over when factory runs out as well life time maintenance u know oil changes expections tire rotations balance only thing I do pay 20 for oil change cause switched blend to full sythtic its still 150k or every year what's 1st its every year sense I owned be 4 years in December rear wheel was a must and v8 after I had BMWS wish handled as well gonna do eibach suspension know won't be as good as my BMW sport package v8s but help roll b4 divorce had warehouse and barn keep vehicles I've won car shows keep simple no chrome one color low sleek wish would got a different color besides black both BMW looked same except work I did exhaust motor was bigger 550 had more option said and done b4 work I did sticker was 87 K 545 was 64 K just so much options genesis not so much I metal worker like said won shows even with 2000 diamante back in day so make most performance parts by hand I live mass roads suck BMW great where lived b4 divorce cause new paved survey back roads 2 cops on duty a shift so fun only drove them Sundays always in truck working same with my genesis now I've only had to bring in for expections they detail rotate tires do oil every December cause I put less 5 k a year on it I've done self mods skirts made self from flexible rubber somthing I get thru job secrete sorry m even my work truck just hate having somthing someone else does always modify enough no1 else has one same I know people arnt guy people coulded tell my 87 k 550 between 30k525 but car lovers do never over do fake scoops I've done working vents on cars I've owned custom but not on genesis wounded like right even my sport package BMWS I hated my 550 instead of just sport the changed m sport its not wasn't v10 yes had same transmission and wheels which awful both BMWS I had to fix wheels all time till bought bbs for 550 deep dish nice offset car awful in city or traffic wanted get unleashed genesis I find not as sporty but better in urban areas to drive don't take 9 quarts of oil do self cost 110 bucks genesis just bring in 20 bucks once a year like said and rotatation balance alignment fluids expection detailed rental road side assistance and that's as long as I'm owner of car life time unless genesis or hyundia goes out of business I guess sure still have to hold contract till I get rid of it paid of soon new truck bought cash think wait a year after paid off keep car for ever with maintenance warnty do less 5 k a year have car forever and clean no1 knows what is took off huge wings on hood mounted to motor cover just left on trunk rest shaved no1 tell done up v6 or r spec don't care BMW 550 I took off m badges. And gay grill blue red stripes went flat black on both of mine same with genesis flat black car black BMWS so much easy look clean both where that silver blue just turned out that way best deal not huge fan of color but after last genesis I didn't want do straight pipes new car plus warnty maintenance didn't want shit in case its legal mass do any upgrade as long as pass expection throws no codes so did all chome flat or Mattie black lips skirts black also got flat black rear window visor and trunk lip crime under only genesis emblem besides engine and steering on trunk did chome over to carbon fiber did self made customer engine forced air no problems dealer for exhaust used 1in inhibit and put on life and drilled 2 holes b4 muffler hidden sounds great easy cover if wanted to no1 see and sounds great and cold day exhaust still comes out tail pipes no exhaust leaks out holes can see smell nothing even mechanic at dealer asked why was so different he was mechanic when had in December said only one seen like it asked if was speacialy model or from another country motor painted everything done hand made so one of kind sure keep car forever just might do springs change lip carbon fiber front bumper and mesh grill so more motor running like find supercharger said back 09 they where gonna make bolt on one for car can't find tho for my newer one. Payer off year get 01 750 BMW cash then think new g70 sport wait get left over less 20kmiles same place got g80 warnty maitence plus wait see do v8 herd might 2020

Why do you keep saying that??? Getting rid of back pressure is not really that much of a bad thing! Backpressure caused by the exhaust system (consisting of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, muffler and connecting pipes) of an automotive four-stroke engine has a negative effect on engine efficiency resulting in a decrease of power output that must be compensated by increasing fuel consumption.
