I just bought a 2011 GMC Canyon SLT, Crew cab 4x4 with 55k on it for 17k. This truck was a one owner vehicle, that person didn't drive it much and just passed away.

I actually prefer the seatback folding down as it makes a great dog seating platform. They like to look out the windows. The bed is for your gear!

A strange comment he made was about the head rests being to hard and that it could get old quickly. Something that should be mentioned about head rests is that despite the name they're not actually made to rest your head on. They are a safety device meant to save your neck incase you get rear ended. The fact that he finds them to hard for normal driving is irrelevant because he shouldn't be resting his head on it while driving. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

i think you certainly have a point, many insurance companies will check your head rest hight after an incident to see if you had it set right to prevent neck/head injury. On the flip side ive sat in cars with quite uncomfortable head rests and its not pleasant.

Do you all think the GMC Canyon is worth paying the $2000 premium over the Chevy colorado? I mena it's like paying $2k for nicer trim right? Nothing really else difference? Any difference in reliability OR service for Chevy vs GMC? I've never bought a truck before

+user3251 You're totally right. Some people have a specific brand loyalty... but GM and Chevy dealerships are one and the same so the service should be identical. And the interior finishings on the Canyon are nicer. If that doesn't matter to you, no real difference at all.

imo not worth the difference. GMC and Chevy are identical besides the exterior design. They share the same assembly lines. The GMC vehicles are advertised as being slightly more upscale because they have a few more standard features.

If they put their 5.3L V8 in this truck, I'd have one tomorrow. The V6 is not enough.

honestly that would be awesome but this 3.6 would be making the same power as the old 5.3 in the old canyon.. v8 sound would be so awesome though

Tacoma is garbage it still has drum brakes squeaks and creaks all the time Frontier is 10 years old GM twins over priced by alot. The next Frontier is coming soon it will be a shocker
