These bikes make heart breaker numbers compared to similar year Kawi/BMW/Yamaha. People gotta remember, this bike was a left over design from '09. Suzuki was hit hard by the 2011 Tsunami and almost went belly up. These bikes are some of the last manual throttle body litre bikes, they feel super sharp compared to any other manufactures 1000's. Between the brakes and super sharp engine feel they make fantastic bikes.

Thanks for this man. Its good to see what the older generation puts down compared to the power houses of today. Suzuki has definitely stuck by there crazy mid range push. Ported head an MR12 on this bike and it would be a force to be reckoned with!

Peak hp is just hideous but that torque curve is something even 2020 bikes are willing to die for. Very electric like torque curve, its flatter than an ironed out Moore Mafia t-shirt.

Older 1000s seams make more torque dew to longer strokes and heavier piston and rods, lighter internals make less torque but makes power up top because they rev to the sky. This is why diesel makes so much torque and so little hp.

on Big Kuntries Busa; since you have a turbo with a plenum, there is no need for ram air tubes. I have a busa naturally aspirated. What do you recommend to use to seal the gap between the frame and the modified ram air attachments. The rubber tube get brittle and breaks apart from the heat cycle. I have been using 3m duct tape. So my question is what size is the rubber inner tube they using b/c schnitz does not sell just the tube rubber they want us to buy the whole shabang for 99 dollars.

I'm not a big fan of yoshimura at all especially for the money. My 14 gsxr 1000 just put down 172 and 82 with a m4 3/4 system and a bmc air filter after a ecu flash and tune. Imagine what Moore Mafia could have done. The fuel air wasn't as spot on as Chris's work though. But from 155 to 172 I cant complain.

Yes you can indeed. Dual maps possible in fact with the addition of the neutral/clutch map. From what i am seeing, not a lot of shops are capable of tuning the timing and are sticking with the afr only...

@@thereal_FASTA stock specs are usually measured at the crank by factories for PR purposes. Power loss from the crank to the wheel is usually around 15%. So that would put it around 157 rear wheel hp. Add his exhaust and filter had him at his baseline of 162 rwhp. Tuning the ecu is really most noticeable in how much smoother it runs after it's done. Almost like buying a different bike.
