2015+ Jaguar XE - How to Put the Emergency Parking Brakes to Service Mode

1.Press and hold the parking brake switch in the release position. 2.Wait one second. 3. Press and hold the accelerator pedal in the wide open throttle position. 4. Wait one second. 5. Set the ignition OFF and back ON immediately.

For my 2018 North American F Pace and XE - the above works IF the parking brake is turned off first - so add FIRST: Turn on the ignition, engine off. Step on brake and simultaneously press the E brake release. Let go and take your foot off the brake pedal. Then start at step one above.

Do you think this would work on my 2015 XKR? The manual and everybody says you need diagnostic equipment to put it in service mode? Either way, thanks for the vid!

To take the car out of brake maintenance mode. 1. Ignition on, engine off 2. Pull the hand brake button up and hold for 2 secs, 3. Press accelerator to the floor and hold 2 secs turn 4. Ignition off/on. 5. Release accelerator and hand brake button. Dash should now clear Brake Maintenance Mode.

This video is wrong. All you are doing is releasing the brake. Maintenance mode winds the calipers completely open to allow for new pads to go in.
