2015 Japan - Post-Race: Jenson Button staying with McLaren for 2016 - Ron Dennis

McLaren Group CEO Ron Dennis insists that Jenson Button will be racing for the Woking-based team in 2016.
Reports in the media had suggested the 2009 world champion was set to retire at the end of the season, but Dennis says Button will partner Fernando Alonso again in 2016.
Button has one year remaining on his contract but McLaren have an option to terminate it before 30 September, which Dennis says they will not act on.

+Joe Rock there would have been a time when people said that about Ferrari and Mercedes! But they find the rite people it all comes together. If Mercedes can get it together who say McLaren can't. I'm sorry I've been watching formula 1 my whole life and I have seen these teams have highs and lows. This is including McLaren. If there business was full of negative people like yourself then it would go down the pan at a faster rate!

Also the big financial problems earlier this year while McLaren has gone Indycar is due to big mistakes by him. The F1 team led by Seidl/Key is on the up, but I don't credit Brown for that.

I have a question for Ferrari. It's seems warm up laps are a big concern on warming up the tires of an F1 car therefor better grip and less wheel spin. Do you think it's worth a test on redesigning the exhaust system so that the heat of the exhaust is on the back tires ensuring heat and extreme grip on the tires all the time. Therefor no tire warmers needed. Please come back to me on this? This might be far ahead of time.

When you think about it that Honda owns Suzuka, and is back in Formula 1 with McLaren, that they can't strap THEIR engine onto any sort of car and run it around THEIR track as THEY please, because of testing rules and limitations, it's pretty fuckin stupid if you ask me. Loved how Ron Dennis spoke of how they would test the MP4/4 3 days a week, every week, with a backup car.

F1 these days are a joke, there is no innovations everything is limited even the wind tunnel no one can use it, this is absurd F1 teams really getting smaller day by day this is not F1 this is a charade,, New teams come and go coz the cost is high no one can survive look at Lotus and before Lotus Caterham. I just wanna watch a great race I don't wanna fall a sleep while watching the race coz the race is boring,, this year one race was very awesome the Hungarian GP. Since 2011 till this season F1 is getting very slower & very boring .
