Using the navigation buttons on the left side of your steering wheel, scroll up until you find the “VEHICLE” heading and then scroll right until the instrument cluster displays the remaining oil life. While the oil life is displayed, press and hold down the “OK” button until the oil life resets back to 100%.

I love changing the oil these jeeps I like how they make it supper easy I just hate the fact that Jeep uses paper filters for those, but other than that really durable vehicles for sure.

Does the oil plug have a washer to replace. I’ve been doing it for years after the dealer screwed me. And never had a washer on it.
@JoesGarageProductionsLLC6 ай бұрын
Nope, believe it is a piece of rubber molded into the drain plug. I've never had to replace anything and no leaks

Thank you for the video! At the end when you are reseting the oil life, you said "you have to have it in..." and then you did something. What did you do exactly? I just wanna make sure I do it right.
@djpheer3 жыл бұрын
just have the ignition on (2 start button presses i believe), press gas peddle fully 4 times while looking at the oil life reset screen, and you will see it go back to 100%.

Where's the fuel filter located?
@JoesGarageProductionsLLC3 жыл бұрын
On most newer vehicles, there is no separate fuel filter. There is a strainer assembly that is part of the fuel pump module, located inside the tank. I believe this particular vehicle has two fuel pump modules - a left side, and a right side.

I recently had the oil changed on my 2014 JGC with 30,000 mi. now I have an oil leak coming from somewhere on the top of the engine around the filter housing (puddles) the cap is really tight. Help, please.
@JoesGarageProductionsLLC4 жыл бұрын
A couple of things to check... The oil filter was changed in the 2014 model year. Is it possible the wrong filter was used? Is it possible the sealing o-ring was not changed or is absent? The housing might be cracked as well since it is plastic... Perhaps it was overtightened.
@Officer2392 жыл бұрын
Might have overtightened the oil filter you have to be very delicate with these, also make sure you use a factory filter I’ve never had any problems using the oem oil filters every oil change

I have a 2015, I couldn't reset it. I did the gas thing. 5 times. Nothing. Anything else.?

I believe the vehicle has to be in either the ACC or run position I can't remember which. I changed the oil again in my 2015 last weekend and it worked

I did it and it actually worked. I thought maybe it was satire but he was right. I have a 2015 grand Cherokee limited.

What is the torque spec for the oil pan and filter housing. ?
@JoesGarageProductionsLLC3 жыл бұрын
The oil drain plug is listed at 20 ft-lbs and the oil filter housing cap is listed at 18 ft-lbs. I tighten the oil filter housing cap until it securely bottoms out and they just a wee-bit more... it is plastic, after all, and a VERY time-consuming repair to replace the entire oil filter housing if you crack something.
