Use motul 300v fully synthetic engine oil with Easter core patented technology which is made in France and mostly used in high end bikes. Use correct engine grade oil mentioned as per your bike user manual. Don't forget to tighten your bike chain and apply bike chain spray after every three weeks.

Dealers/promos should not allow test riders if they're not using at least a full-face helmet and gloves. While I'm certain that they've signed a release or waiver form, the issue is one of safety. The young woman who opens the video ... with all due respect to her, she looks awfully soft compared to the hard surface of the road

As long as we let idiotic people participate in road traffic (which is the MAIN security issue nowadays) it is kinda displaced to "force" people (and even fine them) to care for their safety. Don't get me wrong - proper gear should be no question, but in the end it's THOSE decision. We suffer so much from all kinds of laws that it's actually hard to talk about real freedom any more (i am from europe, where it's worse). But hey, there are peoples around having no clue what the idea behind an indicator is, there are people around with no idea about "right of way" - or even to look left/right before approaching a main road. What about those idiotic/dumb people? Get them of the road if you want to do something for safety - every responsible driver knows by himself, that his head is safe, when he's wearing a helmet - else he will learn or most likely die. But it's their decision. The same right, fat people have for being fat. This is also pretty unhealthy and will kill you, nevertheless, people are allowed to get fat, whenever they like. So stop trying to stop evolution.

Robt Bomba She's riding at speeds a bicycle is capable of and most of us rarely wear a helmet on those... I usually wear a lot of gear, but if I choose to be unsafe it should be my choice. You're allowed to be fat as fuck and smoke so much you get cancer, but I can't ride my motorcycle in many states without a plastic bucket on my head. What sense is that? Until you make all the other idiotic things people do, let me do the few idiotic things I feel like doing...

why does every reviewer assume that small bikes are only for young teens? R3 looks like a perfect budget daily urban commuter even for experienced older riders, who already have a bigger bike for weekend fun. that is the POINT of those smaller bikes, for riders like us to buy, use & run cheaply for 7 years or more. i believe that they are the REAL CUSTOMERS ie. guys like me who have nothing to prove anymore. do NOT assume it is only for young novices. in fact, if i was a teen today, i will probably avoid the depreciation costs by buying a USED one instead, saving the money for a R1 cause i will be dumping the small R3 in a year anyway, cause youngsters MUST have a PROPER big fast bike asap. i don't want to be laughed at for still riding a R3 after all my mates have got R1 etc, right? the young don't give a hoot about such small bikes, it is only for them to bear the 'shame' for a year or 2 before they prove they have grown up to big bikes. :)

Looks really good. Does the RC390 comes in full black paint scheme as well? Like the RC200, it will be so bad ass, if the side fairing is black. I wonder if we install a Akarapovic powerpart exhaust, will the bike still pass JPJ inspection.

In terms of JPJ, the bike has to be fully standard as when it rolled out the showroom/shop. If that bike is a special edition or like the Duke 690R with comes standard with Akrapovic, then that is fine. Depends on the officer whether want to find fault or just let it slide. Colors availability I'll have to check and get back to you on that.

Update: The RC390 will only be available in white (as shown in the video) and the RC200 will be in black color with 2 different types of decals.

Vinyl wrap black/CF look, with some custom race decals will solve the problem without being too expensive.

If you can sit comfortably on a Duke 390 / Ninja 250R chances are you won't have issue sitting on this one.

Hi thanks for a great review. How would you say this bike stacks up for a short rider? I am about 5'4 (inseam unknown, legs not that long though). Does it feel taller in the seat than other bikes in its class? (Ninja 300, Cbr 300, etc). Thanks!

Given the height is roughly 162cm, I'd say it will feel slightly tall, you might need to be on your tip-toes. It felt slightly taller than the Ninja to me.

If you are talking about the bulb not working, I am not sure. If you are referring to only seeing one light in this video, this is the design. The other light is on during high beam. Many bikes are having such configuration now.
