Last week I was able to film the new Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo LP620-2, which will race in the 2015 Blancpain Lamborghini Super Trofeo, during a 2-days test session at Monza Circuit. During the first day the car suffered of a quite hard crash into a wall before the Ascari corner (filmed from a rather "unlucky" position, I would say...). I think the front left wheel got locked that caused the car crash, there's something wrong with the ABS, but i don't know, just guess.. hehe

Modern day GT3s all have ABS and traction control. They are too fast and without driver aid it is suicidal machine.

This is Super Trofeo car. Which as a fake aero that gives almost no significant downforce. It's not the fault of the ABS. It's more of under hard braking the whole rear became so light the traction is almost none existence back there and the heavy ass just wanted to come to the front from left or right, and the driver did not release brake well to let the rear sit it and let it rotate pass the point of no rescue. Don't know who was driving, but probably not a professional because his speed through slow section is very slow, and his power down is very conservative.

Yudha Navaro Well actually, if a front wheel was to be locking up, it would've been the right. If you lock up your wheel, you lose grip on that side and would naturally pull the other way. But in this case I don't think it was that, maybe brake balance.

Yes ***** they do have ABS but it doesn't stop the rear wheels from braking more than the front in certain circumstances.

For me it seems that from the beginning of this run there where issues with the Breaks (Discs, Electronics)... maybe ABS was offline or the Discs where (too) cold . You can watch the Driver pushing the Pedal sometimes straight where no breaking is needed (to heat em up, i think). I hope that the Driver doesnt got any hurts, that was at high high speeds, glad that this occurs with no other Cars on track or any "collateral" Danger

That's kinda what I thought... maybe a mixture of cold brakes and a misjudgement in brake bias... I'm sure they've figured it out after reading the telemetry.

I saw/heard the driver working the brakes a number of times on the straights...I suspect they knew there might be an issue. As long as no one was hurt, I say test more...crash more BEFORE the race.

Yeah, modern racing cars have some pretty impressive structural bracing to stop drivers getting killed by lockups like that. They would probably still have to replace the superstructure after it took an impact like that, for safety reasons.
