Why is he in the radio Le Mans commentary of the race, shouldn’t he be in the fox sports commentary, maybe it’s cause the fox sports coverage of the race has stopped for the night and he still wants to commentate for the race

Quick question. Can the mechanics ask the onsite IMSA officials questions regarding rules, while they are working on the car? Similar to golf, where the players ask the officials questions about rules before touching the ball. Just curious. I realize this is 8 years old, but would appreciate clarification by anyone watching. Thanks
