Nice job. Patients of a Saint trouble shooting codes. Hope your customer appreciates the effort. Thanks

Just bought the wife a 2011 Subaru Outback 3.6R. Day 3 of owning this code came up. Ordered all four new actuators. Hoping that's the issue. Great video. Not much information out there on the VVT actuators for the 3.6R.

Great video! Thanks for sharing. Had the same thing on a 2019 Forester today (started up in minus 35ish C in Calgary, but I will note that I did give it ample time to warm up…) Figured it was transmission fluid temp error; it went away after the third startup after it was back inside. Worried about taking it down to Montana in a few days, now… can’t get a shop to diagnose it between now and Jan 2 unfortunately.

Buy an obd2 code reader and read the codes. Likely related to the cold start. If you know the code that has set you can search for possible causes.

I bought a 2015 Subaru outback 3.6. Keep bringing it back as I get a skipping as I start out driving down the road. They said they cleaned up the 02 sensior and replaced a left drive axel and cv joint. Still jumping a little as I Excell on the has peddle. What else can itbbe,it be, sick as o paid a good amount for this car.

Great video. Have a question, do you need to brain the oil before removing the bottom solenoids?

No you might lose an ounce.

This exact same thing happened to my 2015 Outback today. Taking into dealer tomorrow.
