This car is ridiculously beautiful. Subaru really stepped up their game for 2015. And this is coming from a proud evo x owner.

This is my favourite review of the new STi Thank you very much for creating this excellent and thorough video. I still cannot decide which colour to choose.

The 2015 WRX's upgraded engine and twin scroll turbo narrows the gap between the 2 rally Bruts.

Not sure about the spec sheet the Canadian Car Review had, but I had my 2015 STi for 1 year before modifying and 14.7 psi can be achieved in economy mode, 18.1 psi is possible in S# (stock). After Cobb Stage 3 modification 21.1 psi was possible in S# mode. I've heard that 15 psi figure in STI reviews before, and it's not an accurate data point.

Does anyone know if they are going to upgrade the engine for the 2016 model?
@BStudd11829 жыл бұрын

jose payan Probably not... However that 2.0L engine is promising in the Subaru line up. Will have to wait and see what they do next. I am praying that they don't mount the upcoming STI with a CVT transmission!

This should happen around 2019 - 2020 thanks to some leaked product plans from Subaru. Also, the Subaru Prominence 2020 plan (google it) states that they will get all direct injection engines in their entire lineup by 2020, and by that, the STi will also benefit.

It's Subaru STI.!

It doesn't have a carbon fibre trim???. It's made of plastic.

Why spend an extra $10k on the STI, the FA motor is way better than the 2.5 EJ. Granted subaru stock tuned the STI to come out with 37 more HP than the FA 2.0 DTI. But the power band and potential on the FA 2.0 makes is a much better investment. Why i decided to buy the 2016 WRX Premium... the STI is a waste of money and upgrade potential.
@grendels_arm8 жыл бұрын
+saiyanreddragon The STI includes Brembo brakes which are a $1-2K I believe. Also the DCCD which not sure how much it is but not cheap. Also the STI has hydraulic steering, better suspension and tires. Add all that up and the other misc bits and you'll get more than $8k The Forester has the FA motor too but I wouldn't say the STI is a waste of money over the Forester.
@elusivellama8 жыл бұрын
the STi also has a way different AWD system than the WRX - limited slip differential on front and rear axles, and a planetary differential + clutch pack in the middle for the DCCD. The WRX only has a viscous center differential...

10:10 the car does not have adjustable suspension
@McGurglesScrotum9 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's just adjustable for how much power goes to which wheels, from all wheel equal to more power to the rear wheels and the amount of power the engine gives out when driving, thats what the lines are on the dash, not suspension, just the power curve. SI auto is more layed back driving, middle is kinda my sweet spot for the road (not too much but enough to get up to speed nice and quick if you press on the gas) and the steep curve gives you the full power of the engine at the fastest it goes, gives a very fast takeoff and faster, more powerful gears. It's all out mode in terms of engine performance, but suspension is locked, does not change. Just power output and what wheels the power goes to.
@sneakypoof9 жыл бұрын
Something Something SI drive has nothing to do with the suspension or torque split. Basically all it does is change the fuel curve and make the pedal more sensitive. The computer ie traction control, dccd and active torque vectoring will change the power delivery to the wheels.

Matt R Your right. Sorry about that. I meant to talk about the AWD system.
