Hey Brian. The fuel consumption for the 1500cc is 13-17km/l all factors held constant. Price range has is big considering the 2 gen. spanned from 2012 -2018. Early models you can get them at about 1m-1.3m later models you can get at 1.5m-2m. It's good to note that the auris has very slow depreciation. In terms of fuel consumption it’s excellent unlike the br9 on the other hand the br9 is much more powerful.

Hello Elijah, currently what toyota is putting out is the 1NR which is the most common, there are instances where you can come across 1NZ but they are few. The 1NR is as good as they get, Also how you maintain your car will go a long way into determine its longevity. Thank you.

Hello Elijah, in terms of cost effectiveness the only differentiator will be fuel the vitz has a smaller engine hence will consume less. Maintenance wise, the two are very durable and parts won't be so expensive. If the biggest driver is cost effectiveness I would advice you get the vitz. Thank you for watching my brother!

@elijahnyambe1370 the 1NZ is truly a magnificent engine, funny enough there are vitz models that come with that engine. Most common engine on the vitz is the 1NR, I wouldn't advice the 1000cc one as it is sluggish; the 1300cc one is well balanced one.
