Toyota are good cars that are reliable and will last forever

Think of it as a taller Corolla, but with a hatchback, and with RETRO automatic (old-school 4-speed). I like it, and it's good enough for a cheap commuter car. If you want a car that looks like it comes from the 90's, but is NEW and not USED, then the Yaris is the car for you. If you want the latest in high tech, then get the new Honda Fit instead as the Fit offers a LOT MORE for the money.

Let me explain the difference between this 4-speed and a CVT. With this 4 speed, if you are at a light and it turns green and you slam on the gas, you MIGHT get a bit of wheel 'Chirp' if the wheel is on a slippery spot or on the white line. That's actually a bit of fun because you feel as if your car actually has some power. With a CVT that never happens, your car simply builds up speed as if it was being blows by the wind from behind, and to me that's just not acceptable, I'd rather have the old-school 4-speed automatic instead.

I'd personally rather have a 4 speed auto over most CVTs. The lag feeling of a CVT just kills me. My 2001 Tacoma has a 4spd auto, and I've been driving it for 12 years now. Guess I never realized I was driving an "awful 4 speed auto"...

i have the 2012 yaris L 5 door...the only difference I see is the soft touch panels in the front,radio header with entune and blue tooth standard(which is nice) and the out side geting a nice face lift but i have also herd that they have sound damping in the doors and such which is also nice but honestly i wish they had a 5 speed auto in it the 4 speed kinda sucks and i feel id get more mpg with the 5 speed Manuel however this isnt a huge step up from my model so i may get the se...when i can find one...

I get 38 mpg on my 2004 Corolla with 1.8 vvt 5 speed so why get a Yaris?

1:18 Seatbelt chime needs improvement, it sounds like the old Honda seatbelt chime and it sounds really annoying, don't quote me on that. That annoying seatbelt chime is also found on pretty much every new Scion too. :P

The 4 speed auto and hubcaps are really killing my vibe.

A 4 speed auto. Lololol !!! It should have a cvt.
@FanaticGuide10 жыл бұрын

TJC450 people want the cvt but when it comes to fixing the engine people cry. The cvt is unreliable and brakes down. Hence toyota sticks with the old school 4 spees
@ruizhernandeztrustfi8 жыл бұрын
+ThinkOutsideTheCube But why? A REAL 4 speed automatic is more reliable than a weak CVT. I prefer a manual though.

+Apollo Silva GOOD FOR YOU
@MrTonyProductionz9 жыл бұрын
Yeah, ur fit is better but ince that shit breaks down you will be crying. The yaris is easier when it cimes to replacing parts...heck even finding abd accessing the parts in engine is easier
@ruizhernandeztrustfi8 жыл бұрын
+Apollo Silva More expensive to fix too.
@ruizhernandeztrustfi8 жыл бұрын
+MrTonyProductionz My thoughts exactly. Honda is way more expensive to fix.
