2015 Up F Series Sunroof Groaning Noise Fix...Silicone Spray

For a "groaning" noise in your 2015-newer Ford F-Series or Expedition, it might be your cables making the noise. If so, you can lube them and usually make it stop. Here's a pretty easy way how to do it.

My sunroof is making a popping sound on the passenger side when in closed position, vented position goes away .It pops when you go over bumps. Glass panel was taken out and lubed gaskets really well. Thanks for the help. Also, track rails were just replaced.

Popping when you go over bumps sounds almost like something is loose . Is the rear trough snapped back into the arms?

@SealofPerfection it is. It was doing the popping before and after the arm replacement. Could the cable plastic arm end be broken causing that? The one that a pain in the $aa to replace? Thanks man

@@ItsMeJbird the cable arm could definitely be broken, I don't know about causing that noise but it is definitely possible if it's broken and a little sloppy. When you did the arms did you remember to pop the trough guide back into place?

@@SealofPerfection I did pop it back on. Everything looked fine.

@@ItsMeJbird That's not a symptom I've seen myself. Only other thing I can think of is the spring that presses against the center trough. Compare it to the other side and see if it's doing its job. Should have some pressure on the bottom of the trough. And also maybe the foam seal pieces in the trough have collapsed and the plastic of the trough is tapping against the glass.
