hey great video thanks a lot ! but shouldnt the isoflurane's vaporizer output in the elevation example be at approx 2.5% ? at 2.5 approx the value of the percentage at 2.5 * 610 =15.2 which would actually priove the fact that elevation doesnt effect iso and sevo vaporizers ?

hello. thanks for the video. doesn't your typical o2 e cylinder have a pressure of 2200 psi when full to around 200 on the empty side? 45psi seems low, I didn't think it was necessary to turn off pipeline o2 due to the high psi of the cylinder. thx

Hi Mike, Remember that there is a pressure regulator that decreases the tank pressure to about 45 psi or else you would run a huge risk of damage to machine and patient with the high pressure from the tank. The wall source is at a little higher than the tank regulated pressure, about 50 psi which then is the preferential source of oxygen to our machine rather than the tank. Therefore, if you ever worried that the wall source was not oxygen (crossover in pipes; construction work on hospital is historically how this has happened), remember that the wall source pressure could still be 50 psi and prevent tank gas flow, you need to crank on your oxygen tank and disconnect the wall source so oxygen will be supplied then from the tank alone. From what i understood 45 psi is its output or what gets to the anesthesia machine not its internal pressure
