I have a 2016 Honda Civic. Love it. I drive UBER and get compliments all the time on comfort and sitting room. They have many added " Free" perks. Remote start. Rt. side view camera. My favorite. Cannot leave the keys in the car or trunk. The sensor warns you.

@SRehill7
@SRehill7 4 жыл бұрын
@@truelybrothers9061 I love it still. No issues with performance at all so far. One thing I do have an issue with is the sound system. The sound quality is great but when you turn the volume up, some bass frequencies make the rear window rattle and the bass sounds TERRIBLE because of it. It doesn't happen all the time, but there are certain bass frequencies that will cause a rattling noise and you will definitely hear it.

Nice review. Thank you. Some interesting variations with yours and Australian versions. We get paddle shifters with the CVT on the 1.5 turbo, LED fog lights on the top models but absolutely NO manual transmission option with either engine. As you say, come on guys, it's a Honda.

I ordered the RS model (Australian lineup). I think Honda can do better on an already great deal - that is, optional Honda Sensing and really, the rear view mirror should have been an auto dimming variety....Come on Honda!! I dare you to do it.....hahahaa. But really, I'm really impressed. :-)
@victorwong1685

Also, I'm not sure if the key fop contains an auto-start feature for the Australian RS model. Be good feature to have....lol. I know the Thai and Malaysian RS models have that.

Well, like a typical iPhone user, if his phone doesn't have it, then clearly it doesn't exist and is pointless... But if APPLE decides to ever implement it into one of their phones, he'd probably be wondering why more cars don't have it... Not a stab against Apple. I respect the company and their products. They just seem to attract customers that are allergic to research and knowledge.

US Touring model has the wireless charging as option and standard setup has a pass through for USB cable. You forgot to mention that if you hold down the unlock button for few seconds all the windows go down and the sunroof opens.
@garystar4475

Thank-you for the best review in North America. I am strongly considering the Touring for next purchase. I agree with you about the halogen fog lights, I would have them changed to LED. As well the 3rd rear brake light, it is a cheap regular bulb that you can hardly see(especially when the windows are tinted, which is essential to dim out bright truck lights on the highway at night, as well as the rays of the sun...). I noticed on the white civic, that some dealers on are putting a rear spoiler with a integrated LED brake light that I would definitely add. My biggest worry living in Quebec, Canada is the low ground clearance in the winter when you park the car on streets with snow banks that have not been cleared packing the snow into the engine, what do you think? This car is obviously a big success in Canada , it seems that every other new car on the road is a civic! Merci pour votre video!

I have this car for 3 months now and here's a few things that I'd like to add to the review that haven't been covered. The remote starter is smart meaning that in the winter, it will automatically start the rear window, windshield and mirror defroster. It will also turn on the front heated seats but only on the minimum setting for some reason. In the summer, it will start the AC. You can also remotely lower the window with the remote but you can't close them remotely. You can set the car to automatically lock itself when exit the vehicule so I almost never use the remote anymore. It's only last week that I learned how to activate the LKAS which will steer a bit for you on the highway and works fine. My biggest dissapointment of this car beside the volume control is the ACC. It drives too much like a robot. It will apply too much the brakes to respect the distance that I have setup which can be dangerous as the car will brake when a driver behind you is not really expecting it. And same thing goes for acceleration. Instead of doing a slow acceleration when a car in front of you is gone, the ACC will make the car accelerate too quickly to resume to the speed that you have set up. My last complain is regarding the rain sensor. When the whippers are set to auto, sometimes whippers will go to max speed for no reason so when you lower it with the intermitent, the auto sencing feature still work but, it may become also too passive which make the auto whipping a bit useless. For the entertainment system, I have no complain to make since I always use Android Auto which is pretty efficient. I did had to lower the sub because like he says in his review, the plastic used to fix the sub in place is cheap and you will hear some rattle. I haven't ask my dealer yet to see if it's something they can fix.
@CarQuestion

Thanks for those super comments! Ive also tested another civic and the bass rattle is the same :( Check with your dealer and keep us informed! :)

if you use your remote starter, is the car still locked? i'm afraid someone can just get in the car and take off like if you're in a building, leaving in 10 minutes but want to warm your car up.

If you want the best stock sound system in a more economy car, and that's the most important thing for you, get into a Ford Titanium trim for their Sony sound system. It is the best stock sound system in a non luxury car I've ever heard. Toyota's Harman sounds like garbage in comparison, and Honda's is crap too. (I'm a musician and have done sound engineering work.) In my Ford Escape with HD radio, it is an OUTSTANDING system and sound engineers were involved in tuning it.

+semahj lamons I got quotes for Accord Sport plus Honda Sensing for 23k plus tax. Definitely better deal than 27k to buy compact car. Mid size sedan is not only bigger but safer and lot of thing to consider. Same price! You will pick Accord or Civic. Tell me.
@semahj

@vimotnguoi4ever
@vimotnguoi4ever 8 жыл бұрын
+semahj lamons so Can you tell me which features on Civic that Accord doesn't have. Except full Led headlamp. Accord Sport plus Sensing for 25k Civic touring cost 27k which make no sense. Who want smaller car, smaller engine when you can get more with your money. I think my logic is adequate. My point. You should get Midsize sedan if you spend 27k. Compact car is not worth 27k even if it was fully loaded.
@semahj
@semahj 8 жыл бұрын
Well theres led headlight, then theres the 10 speaker 450 watt sound system with a sub, sunroof, leather upholstery, heated mirrors, automatic wipers, all 4 seats are heated, navigation, touchscreen display with carpal and android auto, remote start keyless entry and ignition, LaneWatch lane-change assistant, also its faster and more fuel efficient. These are features usually found in luxury cars for only 27k. So once again your argument makes no sense you get more car for the money. the only reason you would get an accord is because it's bigger and even then bigger isn't better for everybody.

Fan boy reviews are not very helpful for buyers For example reflective materials inside cars are not only bad idea it sometimes can be dangerous for the driver for sunny days also the design of the rear lights looks soo ugly and un-Japanese Bottom line the civic because it's a compact car should be affordable a base civic should not cost more than $15000 and not exceed more than $18k fully equipped

+CarQuestion lol. I really liked your detailed review though. Apple not having wireless charging (among other missing features) is like buying a Honda Accord and finding out you have no powered windows.

Honda's rear appearance (back) is very ugly :(

Yea... I like the front, but the rear end is a mess. The long sloped rear window extending to the trunk just looks weird, plus the tail lights are shaped like brackets. IMO the whole rear just doesn't work with the sporty front.

While initially pleased, after 8 months of owning a 2016 Civic, I'm very disappointed. The mileage is very good and the front seats are quite comfortable, but I'm not too keen on the CVT (not at all fun too drive...unless you like golf carts), the lack of a volume knob and, in my opinion, it doesn't even come close to my 2007 Civic with regard to quality. In particular, I think they have a major issue with the floors. I invite anyone looking at purchasing a 2016 to compare the driver's side floor/kickboard with the passenger side first hand. The Honda rep said that the sinking floor is "characteristic of the 2016 Civic." (Guessing the new term for "design flaw" might be "characteristic.") Here's what mine looks like after 8 months and 6,500 miles: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4XYZquGfpqbbKM Video, even without sound, speaks for itself. Think what it'll look like in 2-3 years. Do you want to sink $20K into a car if you are going to see this every time you get in it? And, if you do, don't even bother with the $155 high-walled mats as they'll most likely quickly deform like mine did.

google civic issues, around 6 to 8 years seems to be starting point for paint discoloration-peeling, cracked heads, electronic failure. perhaps some of your video viewers can enlighten you. less boring than a corolla, not sure of the durability. does this model look a bit like a volvo?

The new civic 2016 has a lot of problems. Look at this: www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Civic/2016/ , Definitely I would not buy this car. not at all.
