I installed it today with zero issues. It isn’t cheap, but it’s completely worth it because it feels like a factory unit. Mine boots up on its own without pressing any buttons when the car turns on and brings up CarPlay flawlessly every time. Sound quality for both calls and music is exactly the same as the factory unit (I’ve read other units that route audio through aux have echo issues). Even the trackpad controls are easier to use than I expected. My only wishlist item is to be able to summon Siri using the steering wheel voice button, but tapping the menu button is easy enough. If you’re watching this wondering if it’s worth it - it is 100% worth it.

HI. Really great to hear someone that had a good experienc with the kit. We are thinking of buying a 2016 RX350 F-Sport with Mark Levinson sound system. It is not VIN# compatible with the OEM upgrade so I am looking for alternatives. Which vehicle did you install this on. Does your car have Mark Levinson Sound System?

Hi, ordered on Monday, received it on Wednesday! And I’m in the United Kingdom! Very fast delivery, it was relatively easy to install myself, but, do not be fooled, it looks very easy and fast on the KZbin, it is easy, but definitely not fast doing it yourself, took me good 2 hrs, shame you can’t fly here and install it :) just kidding. Otherwise, very pleased, thank you!

Bought two units in the last two years, one for GX and one for RX. Love them!! GX is much easier to install due to the size. RX is too tight and I have to cut some plastic in the bay area. Follow the Eric video for setup, not the instruction paper which is out dated for the latest RX. So far so happy.

2022 RX should come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from factory.

Hi Eric, when I receive calls, it does not seem to work when I try to answer it. Music plays fine using cars Bluetooth. Could the audio connector to the radio be loose?

Please try unplugging the microphone cable from the Carplay module and see if the error disappears. If it doesn't, one of the pins is bent on the large female connector that is connected to the large male car connector.

@ our 2019 RX450 has a heads up display which shows info from the factory nav, like turning directions.

It’s exactly the same. We use the factory Bluetooth audio source. You can also connect your iPhone via usb and select iPod source for audio

I have another companies aftermarket apple CarPlay. When I control it using the controller. The OEM system is also controller. When using the steering wheel next and previous songs. It skips a song. Anyone else have these issues? Installed through the company.
