Thanks for posting. I’ve used my 2018 trd off road v6 double cab tacoma w/navi on a usps rural mail route here in Montana occasionally when the roads get bad. I wasn’t in 4wd when pulling away from a mailbox two years ago causing the rear end to slide into the mailbox resulting in a big scratch down the side of the bed and cracking the rear passenger taillight. It’s been two years now since this happened and it’s time to replace it. I think I’m gonna get rid of this truck soon. Better replace this light assembly to decrease the loss of value from the mishap.

Had to remove my left rear tail lamp not to replace the bulb but I had backed up into my fence pole so scuff & scratched up the lense & used some novus scratch remover worked well orinally when I hit the pole thought I had dented my truck & cracked the lense thank goodness wasnt the case after I cleaned up polishing the lense couldnt find any scuffs or scratches saved myself tons of money not having to buy new one.

Where did you get the bulbs and are all the bulbs the same part number?

Hello Nathan Carper. The bulb type for the brake and turn signal is a 7043 bulb that you can get from any auto part store. The LED reverse lights were ordered from Amazon. Type is Toyota Tacoma LED Reverse bulbs and you should be able to choose which one you want. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello 1Chupadita. No I do not still have the spacer installed. I sold the spacers to a friend who is still using the spacers still. No issue with running these spacers.

Hello @@ilovemyk20dc5 Too much offset for me. The front looked fine but the rear stuck out like 2 inches. If you install them, just install them on the fronts depending on your offset.

Yea lol. Appreciate the video but i swapped out the wrong bulb because of it. I have a 2019 off-road and heads up, the break light is the center bulb NOT the top bulb as stated in the video. But either way, appreciate it, if it weren’t for the video I wouldn’t have known how simple it was.

Hello Outdoors with Leo. You will remove two bolts (top and bottom) there is another bolt on the bottom that does NOT need to be removed. Only 2 bolts.

@@pentzwerks It was a little difficult on my Tacoma 2019 Off-Road TRD at first because you see the upper and lower metal grommets in the video that also securely hold the tail light assemble into place. These help water proof the light to the frame of the tail light housing. You have to pull from the top, gentle tug and lower grommet as well. Once you do it, you see what I'm talking about.
