2016 Chevrolet Equinox 2.4 P0016 P0089 P228D timing issue plus failed high pressure fuel pump

I’m currently facing the same problem without the P0016. Just rebuilt the engine and have tried junk yard fuel pump, new Amazon fuel pump,both fuel sensors. My next move is changing both phasers which will be here tomorrow. I have yet see someone resolve these codes. No disrespect just wondering why no one post the outcome of there diagnoses.

After market high pressure fuel pumps don’t work… everyone wants to save on this part, cause it’s crazy expensive from the dealer… but there a reason why expensive dealer pumps work and cheap imitations don’t … comes from experience…

I got feedback from the garage that I worked that car at… they replaced the pump, but the codes are still there… I will be there tomorrow morning to check it out… I will update this video as I work that issue…

My daughters 2014 Chevy equinox have four codes in relationship to this P0011,P0016,P0089, P228d can the timing codes be the main issue and because of that could it be passing up the fuel issue or vice versa?

Thank you for watching… a new pump went in, no results, the same set of codes… I suggested the timing job, but they decided to go with another motor, instead of trying to fix this one… it worked as far as the codes go - all gone … the motor came with new high pressure pump… I hope it helps you in your diagnostics… please let me know what happens next on your job…
