PSA if you do this make sure you check your non return valve . If the as if its missing and you replace this and not the entire intake as well, you will get this code again.

I don't know anything about the aluminum cover, just go with oem and sometimes those thing are still covered under warranty

You shouldn't, if the valve cover is good and quality , try clearing them
