I feel like the the OGs like you (not calling you old lol) but tend be surprised of this V6 and say it’s fast because it was just as fast as the first muscle cars back in the day but comparing the power to these V8s now are just crazy, not to long ago these V8s would be crazy but now it’s just normal and that’s why I think some people think the V6 is slow but it’s not and it’s fast! Most people who hate on the V6 are people who really never drove or been in one and never experienced it themselves.

Thanks for the review Short Guy. I have a Granite grey 2016 SXT Plus with the speckled finish. Beautiful!, but not the super track package. For me it's just fine and I love the car, the ride and the fuel efficiency. I agree with the comments that those who hate on the V6 might not have experienced this particular Mopar package, if they test drive it they would have a different opinion.

I've owned a 3.6L charger, yes they do move but having said that it's no Hemi. I own a 5.7 now and there is a power difference that's worth the price. But if you can't afford the $32,000price tag for the base V8 then you can go with the $26,000 v6 and have some fun. But once you go to a hemi there is no going back to the 6 😂

I am planing to get an SXT plus but I have never had Dodge before! I drive a lot during the day, about 150-250 miles, every day. Do you think challenger would feel comfy for driving everyday 150-250 miles?!

i drive 400 miles a week, very comfortable! had a 19 sxt plus, traded for a 23 same option package. all the bells and whistles. AWD is a real game changer, they are a beast in the snow , and a blast on twisty backroads. Don't skimp on the options, i love my heated and cooled seats!

My 2015 SXT Plus did a 5.7 second 0-60 with launch control set at I think it was 2200 rpm. If the wheels didn’t spin I think I probably could have done a 5.5 or so.

Depends on your budget really... If you are on a tighter budget then no not really just get the SXT and save thousands of dollars if you have a mid sized budget you can get the plus if you want and if you have a large one then yes totally get the plus package....

Interesting how a fwd 2016 Accord V6 coupe can do 0-60 in 5.5-5.7 seconds. Rated at 278hp. Yeah it's lighter by a few hundred pounds and plays a role. The new 2.0 4 cyl turbo has done low 5s in the sedan. I'd have to go bigger boy engine in the Challenger with Camry's and Accords being faster than the Dodge V6. Nice Looking car though regardless. You also have the nice interior upgrades.

THat is true about the 0-60 but if the challenger was as light as those cars you know it would fly right by them. Hopefully the next gen challenger will be a bit lighter. But I wont hold my breath.

Have you actually gotten a Honda from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds? The magazines say 5.5 but in reality it's more like 7.5. I had a v6 Accord and it was dog slow. My R/T hits 5.0 regularly and I've gotten it down to 4.9 with a full tank of gas. Probably could get it down to the mid 4s with a smaller driver and less gas. I never practiced this, but put it down every once in a while to see what I get.

I have 2 scratch my head everytime some1 compares a Honda 2 a Dodge Charger/Challenger v6. Those cars are in totally different classes. It's easy 2 know the outcome when you a few hundred pounds lighter. I have a Gti sport VW and can run circles around an SXTplus all day. Yet still, I still want 1. It's a gorgeous throwback no matter which model you get. Hondas will never be iconic. At any rate, nice review.

LaMont J. It is true About weight and to compare that’s the only car you can compare since there’s no more Dodge Avenger/stratus to compare. I hope the next generation of chargers/challengers will be lighter like at least 300 pounds. 🙏🏼

1st: SPEAK UP! Project!! I almost fell asleep while trying to listen to you mumble thru the explanation of dash setup. 2nd: You left out the breakdown of "Launch Mode"! Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't Launch Mode give you the ability to setup the Trans-brake? If so, your 0-60 times would be WAAAY improved. The whole idea of Launch Mode (trans-brake) is for drag racing and gives you the ability to "launch" off the starting line! Last: If you're going to do a review, show the trunk, show the WHOLE backseat (including leg room w/the seat all the forward & back), show the underside of the car. While it was fun to watch you stomp the gas a couple times, overall I felt your "review"... was lacking. :(
