If your school has a team or club you'll want to contact someone there and see about joining. There typically aren't any requirements. If there isn't a team, you can probably start one like you'd start any other club at your school. As for the fishing, we'll take anyone part of a registered team or club, and there is a decent chance that there's at least one tournament fairly close to you. None of the main U.S. fishing organizations run college-specific tournaments in South Africa at the moment, but you might look into FLW South Africa instead. www.sabass.com/index.php/flw-sa/tournament-format

You might look into High School Fishing. www.highschoolfishing.org/faqs/ You can start fishing FLW events at 16, so you may want to consider that too. Fishing as a co-angler in a BFL or Costa FLW Series event can be a great way to get your feet wet.
