YOOOOO I have a 2012 focus se and it’s been doing that forever but it’s never died on me in all these years

The pcv valve gives crappy idle as well. Its under the plastic intake manifold

Im not sure the mk3 models have the pcv valve. But what i do know and how i fixed this issues... lies with the purge valve sol. It will cause direct rpm shift if it is stuck open. Check out my part 2 for this video.

So what benefits do u get from putting the throttle body from the mustang? Better mileage?

More air in the system... more throttle response and a slight bump in power!

More air = more horsepower. Its more of a throater response though.

Looks like your car is running a little rich from the look of those spark plugs How is your focus right now?

It was indeed running with extra gas vapor. Turns out the PVS failed which allowed more unburnt gas vapors back into the engine. Swapping out the PVS fixed this issue.

Hello, OK I just came across this problem a couple weeks ago. I change the eval now it just started doing it as I’m texting this but I made it home. Thank God anyways when I’m on the road my RPMs will go off but then hang around three and four will only go higher when I gas it but I’m only hit in like 15 20 mph. But obviously when I break it comes back down would you suggest the spark plugs being changed for that too? Or the fuel injectors I’m totally lost. Any advice would be truly appreciate it. The computer is idling the car that low at stops, it's very problematic. It activates when your foot is on the brake to save gas wich isn't even a fume! a total waiste of money and unnecessary technically. It makes the car hesitate in first gear take offs and risks stalling if you have three peddles on the floor it's still a good car if you take care of it. Mine only needed a purge valve and clutch/slave cylinder after 130,000m wich is really good I run open K&N with muffler delete and 91 pump with Lucus 108 turbo octane booster to bump the car up to 200hp making it a bit safer and able to go up hills 😂
