Did you have to do the USB hub update? I haven't pulled my existing hub out but all of the blogs I see the photos of the old hub don't match mine but the new hub does.

Chris Canalia it's working with android auto, but not for apple CarPlay. I ordered the new hub and just waiting for it to come in.

Ok so I figured it out. If you download from the official version on Ford's website you need to rename all the files because Ford was stupid and named all the update .tar files to syncmyride####### so you need to make a folder called syncmyride and put all the .tar files in that folder and delete "syncmyride" part of all the files in the name. Then keep the autoinstaller file out of that folder in the flash drive

Hi, Why update doesn't work through WiFi, is it because Ford wants customers to visit the retailer? I want to try this today to have gps installed but I see you had navigation already on that car..

If you don't have navigation, you can't just update SYNC to get it. You need to take the vehicle to the dealer so they can install the navigation hardware.

if your F150 is a 2016 then yes it works, dealers will charge so its better to use ford owner site.

I'm having some trouble with the Sync 3 update and was wondering if you could possibly help. I did the update on a 2016 C-Max and I'm having voice recognition issues after the update. Whenever I press the button, it says "voice recognition not ready". However, when Android Auto is connected, Google Now works. I am not a member of any of the forums so that's why I haven't posted there. Other than that, the update seems to have gone okay. My build number after the update is 16280_PRODUCT and Gracenote is 1.1.1.615 (NA-0010).

DanMc85 it's usually a matter of verifying checksum, few guys had to try different downloads to get it right, head on to our discussion forum to read feedbacks (you don't have to be member to view comments there)

Eason 穆 Ford site made mistake: use minimum 32gb usb and format it with exfat... Ford said use 4gb, that's the problem in the past

LivingSquirel this update was released for Lincoln models (same company) and it works on every ford model, just pick the right version nav or non nav

MustangTogunner Installed it but only thing I can grump about right now is a slight delay and the different task bar icons on the top (no bluetooth icon or wireless). I think I'll be more happy with android auto if I find a voice command to switch between android auto and my radio presets and non AA apps .

The difference that I find in my choche realcion to the European model is the emergency number is 911 and the stations. In europe the fm works like this example- 100.1-100.2- 100.3 etc and I can not find a solution for that problem. I thought a European update could fix that problem you think ?? Thanks for your time

That is supported with this update but you do have to purchase an upgraded usb dock I believe for it to work.
