I have 253k km on my '12 mazda 3 hatchback. oil/filter, tires, spark plugs and first brake change at 220k kms. It's treated me very well.

Thanks for the video. I tested the Honda RS model and am impressed as an all rounder vehicle, even though the CVT gave a very slight lag from a stationary position. But once the turbo winds up a little, it's quite okay for me. I ordered one.....RS model. :-)

my mazda3 2.0 can hit 23km per liter highway drive... from Kuala Lumpur to Thailand... 663km only consumed 29 liters of petrol. really awesome. who needs a hybrid?

Has your car got the i-eloop system? If it does then it already is an hybrid lol
@felixliew55538 жыл бұрын
+Love Cars well not exactly a hybrid as theres no motor assist at the gearbox. the i eloop only supply dc power to run the car electronic. when the car is crusing, it 100% using the engine power.... no power assist

Vin Poh ..I hardly do a heavy acceleration during taking off from traffic lights. As the car ecu is a learning ecu... it will adapt your driving style. with max fuel economy, im using 0w20 fully synthetic oil, metal treatment and Euro 4m petrol. Also ensure the tire pressure is at recommend figure

Found the Mazda a bit jiggly over rough surfaces and the engine noise was quite intrusive. The Elantra sr wasn't quite up to scratch either so I bought the Civic

the new Mazda 3 didn't get huge upgrade.i will be happier to see Mazda get the Apple car for this year. I think civic still is the winner.

Mazda3 hatchback still looks better. The new civic only looks good at first but will definitely not age well. Mazda3s will always age well. Even the old generations look good to this day.

Good review ! i think these two cars are best in class and very close , but you can't get a civic with manual shifting ? the mazda is better if you want bettrer connection with the road and sportier driving little bit more. And this generation of civic has a perfect born. sportier version of mazda 3 is realy necessary to conter a future - reference - Type R.

Was there a mountain bike in the back seat of the Mazda 3? Not fan of the Honda touch screen unit.

How much quieter is the civic? If it's a huge difference I'll sacrifice a bit of driving experience for the civic but if cabin noise isn't a huge difference I'll get the mazda for sure

When is the new Mazda 3 going to be released/unveiled
@Crosshead18 жыл бұрын
+Motoring Australia Thanks for this info. I'll be in the market for a new car later this year and it'll probably be down to either a Mazda3 SP25 or a new Civic sedan. I really hope Mazda can do something to address some of the NVH issues with the 3. I'll look forward to you doing a re-match.

They have an “Si” version which comes with manual transmission. You have to import it yourself from Japan. Since it’s not available in the Australian market,

2.5 lt engine and fuel economy of just 6 Lt per 100 km? what kind of trickery is this?
@hingholo80278 жыл бұрын
idk cant even get that in my mazda 2 they claim 4.9. if i drive like a granny i get 5.8 otherwise its 6.4

The fuel economy numbers for cars these days are based on strict and controlled testing, not real-world. Thus, you will never get the claimed figures (you'll almost always get higher numbers) in petrol and diesel cars. However, hybrid cars are different. You can often exceed the quoted mpg or l/100km for the Prius, for example.
@hingholo80278 жыл бұрын
YTuberosity in my dads honda crv it says 7.7l/100km but he gets like 7.5-7.7 so that seems logical but mazdas claim is too much.

For years the Civic was a little car and that was it's forte. You could park it anywhere and it turned on a dime. This one is huge and just looks dumb. That CVT...I'd rather have the Hondamatic of the 70's...
