On my 2018 RC 390 I drilled a hole through the left foot(rest) protector and use a mudguard of a Duke 390 which I can take on and of in a few minutes.

Hey dude, thanks a ton for this video! I didn't even know this model existed and is available in my country! But you're 100% right when you say that the stock shock is bad. Especially when the motor is so good! Will definitely upgrade to this soon!

its upto KTM to say that its a real deal or knock off. they own WP, they are the marketing and selling people.

All WP suspension for KTM Duke/RC bikes from 390 and below are made by a company called Endurance for WP Under licence and specific instruction by WP.. They are not a knock-off .From what I heard, They just mass produce them here in India locally for saving cost (Import and on demand availability) that's all :) .. Otherwise KTM would be in trouble for using knock-off suspension

hello i am using 2016 model duke 390 for off road now its time for extreme off road i want to change suspension for high jumps.WP XPLORE and OHLINES are not available for off road duke 390 i am looking for good quality also i want to change the swing arm but i have no idea so can you please suggest me the good one which can be fix for this bike..;)

you should probably look into just lengthening the stock components. perhaps it would be easier to fit some forks from a ktm enduro model, and finding a longer shock. the only problem is that it will change your swingarm angle, and the bike will probably handle poorly. the amount of money you would need to invest in modifying your duke could be spent on a new 390 adventure, or other ktm enduro model.

D you will have to remove the 7 mm bolt on the inside of the chain pad then you will have enough flex to remove that bolt
@shiftlove7 жыл бұрын
exactly, i believe theres two on the slider, and then you can remove the long 7mm bolt
@derschnitzeljager63534 жыл бұрын
@@shiftlove Just drill a hole through the left foot protector and the long 6mm bolt will come out easily

Hi sir,m doing touring on my ktm rc 200.but agter some kms it is damaged,so i want some touring purpose rear shocker.which will be good for adventure touring and also be long last.plz suggest me sir ..😊😊
@shiftlove6 жыл бұрын
most of the shocks that are made for the rc are going to be performance oriented for the track. however, if youre adventure touring, i would suggest perhaps trying to 390 duke shock first because itll be a ton cheaper of an initial test, and it should bolt right up

Hey did you notice the plastic parts under the passenger seat that are not put on properly?
@shiftlove6 жыл бұрын
Ludy Garcia yea. It's because I had probably previously taken the seat cowl off. Sometimes for the videos sake I don't stop the main install to fix other things cause I get a little concentrated on the task at hand. Good catch though.

There's one bolt on the left side of the chain guard that has me buggered..you probably know which one I'm talking about, how did did you remove it?
@shiftlove7 жыл бұрын
with lots of persuasion lol. i think i had to use a wobble socket on an extension and turn it out, and then when it was loose from the actual threaded section on the swing arm i angled the chain slider up and pulled it out from above the heel guard on the rearset. the entire top portion of the chain slider has to be loose to do this, so like 2-3 different bolts, and it was still a tight pull, but it came out without removing anything else, and went back in too.

Hey man I am just wondering if you route your exhaust under the seat you will remove 2 90 degree bends from your exhaust. I have done the same on my RC 390. Just a suggestion, I hope you don't mind.

Nice video bro and awesome bike 😍 Did you think that shock will work on a ktm rc 200 ¿?
@shiftlove6 жыл бұрын
Andres Ramirez i think the bikes are pretty much identical with the exception of motor. Electronics and exhaust probably. I would first buy a used stock 390 shock and see if it fits before buying an ohlins or racetech shock for $$
@sangeethraveendran58984 жыл бұрын

So are all "Indian" made products bullshit? Why did you buy this bike? For all you know, it was manufactured in "India" and then imported to whichever country you are in. That's why you paid so much for it. Then there are Harley-Davidson motorcycles in India whose suspension literally splits apart in those "Indian" road conditions while "Indian" made motorcycles sporting the so-called KNOCK-OFF company's suspension are coasting by on those same roads and laughing their effing asses off at the poor build quality of their American counterparts.
