2016 Land Rover Discovery Landmark Review - Inside Lane

This is the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Landmark edition. The Discovery model celebrates 25 years this year and this Landmark special edition is top of the range. Powered by a 3.0 litre diesel V6 engine producing 252bhp and 600Nm of torque. This is sent to the ground via all wheel drive and an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission. Land Rover claim 36.7 MPG.
The Land Rover discovery is an accomplished off road 4x4 with terrain response that can deal with every surface. Adjustable air suspension, wade depth sensors, and more technology make it almost unstoppable on the rough stuff.
Seating 7 this large SUV in Landmark trim features luxuries such as digital TV, heated seats, and even a fridge.
The 2016 Land Rover Landmark costs from £55,995 and is on sale now.
An all-new 2017 Land Rover Discovery is to be revealed in the coming days.

Just want to say - although I understand the new Discovery 5 philosophy and it's more modern persona - and agree that Land Rover do need to go there for both the market and the manufacturing synergies. I do like the Discovery 4 Landmark with its feet firmly planted in the original Land Rover concept with shared DNA still evident in the big steel ladder chassis as its foundation, still based on a series one or Defender chassis. Disco 5 shares far more with the Range Rover full aluminium monocoque chassis. Yes it saves weight and stiffens road handling but somehow it loses (in my mind anyway) its links to it's origin and the original concept aim. I am sure I will be seduced by the Discovery 5 when fuel prices, tax and access to off road availability all conspire - but then why a discovery ?

👍 and i have just, this weekend, bought a 66 plate Landmark with just 34k on the clock 👍 - looks like it's showroom fresh - excellent for a vehicle just coming up to 7 years. - very happy. 😃

I'm not happy with the new design. I planned on purchasing a new LR4 late 2017 and now I can't customize it.
