I've had 3 of these units.. the touchscreen doesn't work until I'm holding the positive wire . it's on my kayak so it's hard to put in a spare ground .. very annoying .. Lowrance knows about it and just says use it on the water .. the water helps ground it

Mount looks like elite 4 and 5 series yes no? Save drilling dash! That transducer looks bigger than dildo though. Does it just mount in same holes as old HDI units pattern.

+SEAGULL FISHERMAN The gimbal on the 7 and 5 are identical. Not sure on the 4. Your are right! The totalscan transducer is quite large, and heavy as a brick. It seems like its the same size, but a 1/2 inch thicker than the old LSS2. I looks like the holes line up, but don't have an older Sidescan to compare it to.

Its similar to the LSS2 Structurescan transducers. I intend on mounting it to a Fortrex...stay tuned for a video on that!
