I gather Renault kwid is better but only thing that keeps me away from kwid is the plastic oil sump. One out of place stone and it is going to crack not to mention the plastic over time will become brittle.

MotorBeam Still a little bit risking dont know how well the engine will age. Settled on Hyundai Eon not as basic as an alto neither feature rich as kwid. Eon seems very well refined. Your comparisons really helped a lot. Motorbeam :)

I own a Nano at present which doing good. My next car would be problaby an Alto800. I did some research online based on user feedback etc. Alto is way better than other entry level cars. Test driven it and i was more than impressed withAlto800. Only con being the less space. Redigo is also promising. But unsure about the consistency in mileage and reliability/service support. Otherwise Redigo is a good option, especially for tall persons. Stylish and Good value for money.

Go for Alto800. I have driven both Alto and WagonR. Liked only the Alto. Its lot of fun to drive. Only car that gives a race car type feel due to its low seating posture. It can zip through traffic. Mileage is best in a petrol car. We can use it everyday. WagonR is just a box. Alto has atleast got a bit of style in the entry level

Alto800 definitely worth the money. Best overall package a car can offer, from mileage to visibility to ease of city drive and maintenance. Still No.1 car in india. You will like it once you own it.

Alto is not that bad. Overall a decent car for city use. Kwid Eon etc are good only in looks. But reliability and performance are better in Alto. Alto Engine is best. Very smooth. Fun car to drive in the city.
