I'm surprised he could actually stand there and say thank you. He's come out and said that he gets high anxiety attacks and breaks out into uncontrollable cold sweats when people stare at him or when he's in the spotlight so he has a hard time with interviews and such. I think people who haven't followed him may not know, but he's not being arrogant or aloof, he's incredibly nervous and actually has previously disclosed his medical condition. Anyway, Congrats to him! I've always enjoyed his acting.

icequeen as someone who is an amateur actress for hobby and also has anxiety , when u have a passion for something like acting it feels completely different than standing in front of a room and giving a speech . actors develop their own little bubble when acting so film crews are no problem

I think the problem isn't attention , it's getting questions and delivering speech . Not all can think n speak at the same time. And they r actors so if they speak even a little mistake in wording or prononciation they get attacked later . So that might give him cold sweats . Like we get in exam viva.

Idk why he got hate for this honestly. He tried his best, he seemed really sincere, you can literally see how happy and thankful he is when his name got called. He didn't seem rude at all, the host was kinda at fault tbh, it's rude to say to someone that his speech is supposed to be more important than the person before who just gave a long speech. I notice lee jong suk doesn't participate much in variety shows, interviews, etc. And he often lets Woobin wrap up the things he wanted to say, because he has difficulties. Can't people be more sensitive? It's hard enough to stand in front of thousands of people then the host implicitly states "your speech is too short, aren't you thankful at all?" Tl;dr: He deserves the award, all the good things in the world, just pure happiness

This man is seriously talented. Having a charming handsome face and absolutely dashing cool good look and physique is his natural born genes, a man worthy of manga picture perfect, however, he has proven publicly how great his acting is. This is not his 1st award, he has won it several times, therefore, winning a daesang without a doubt a well deserved for Lee Jongseok. His acting in W only him can pull it of. People should stop bashing him over his winning speech. Nothing is right in the eyes of haters, whether this award was based on voting or by judge votes, i believe the result remain the same, Lee Jongseok as the winner. If there is a daesang for drama category, I also believe that W will win it because W is not like any Korean stereotype drama, it is smart, creative, different and fresh and Kang Chul is Lee Jongseok, it is a role that perfectly best suited played by LJS. I don't see any rude nor arrogancy in his speech, all i see is a surprise and nervousness in him that made him temporarily blank to what will he going to say, i know how it feels cos I've been there myself.

Also, I could see that he was very nervous and I feel really sorry for him, because I too am unable to talk/ give a speech in front of people and I kind of understand what was going on in his head. And he also said that he took two pills to calm himself down (I assume), so he must have been really nervous. Since watching W, i became a fan of him....he’s so good in his acting, will definitely go a long long way.....His too nervous, but genuinely a very warm person, very apprecaitive of his fans.
