Neatness can play a big factor. Production is only worth 30 out of 100 total points. The other categories contestants are judged on include: True and Workmanship (10 points) Plumb (15 points) Level (15 points) Story (15 points) Voids (15 points) After the twenty-minute competition a coin is flipped to determine which side of the wall is judged. Contestants are then given four minutes to to strike the wall prior to judging voids and workmanship. The purpose of this four-minute period is to improve of voids, using only the jointer. I've seen several contestants over the years win the competition without having the highest number of block because their wall had too many voids or wasn't level.

Mason Contractors Association of America only the line side should be judged. that's what you're laying too. completely ridiculous. .! These guys must be the bottom of the barrel. I've layer 600 block by lunch,"with durawire an rebar being installed. that 600 everyday at minimum. 600 finished block. jointed on both sides. This is a disgrace to Masonry. I get pissed yo watch 2nd an 3rd rate masons piddle around.

Mike D. ill give you that looks great for a footer or fire wall.ive just seen to many high speed fuck ups. i know this is a speed competition. id like to see them on a true quality wall tho....and yes i can hold my own in an 8 hour shift....i have no desire to jam that many block in a wall in 20 minutes unless i can clock out with 8 hours

You got wrong , the construction industry needs first class skilled builders. As trained builder the cement they using might be training purpose only,just lime and sand. Thank you for thinking about the poor, there is no people , people should be taught how to uplift themselves from poverty but never be fed for free. That keep them poorer and poorer forever! Or we should fight corruption, greedy, unfair taxation , laziness, illiteracy that what we should for free! lf we fight that , then the world would be a better place to live in!!
