Spalsh Master03 yes, sport mode will knock you in your seat a little. Lag is really bad, if a light turns yellow the car struggles to speed up fast enough. I would suggest the 2020 CLA if price isn’t a problem. Overall, the car has got me from A-B.

Thanks for the video. I have never seen a Mercedes with no passenger seat adjustment on the side door! I drive a 2018 cla250. Absolutely love it. As of rite now it is at the dealership and they are trying to figure out why it is over heating with 11 thousand miles on the car! Currently in a 2020 c300 best two features on this car, wireless phone charger and 9 speed turbo v6! Sport plus mode let’s get racing.

Being an owner of a CLA myself, a lot of your interior issues is because you didn’t get a well optioned one. A well optioned CLA has many of the options you were complaining about like the passenger side seat controls, better looking speedometer, and blind spot assist. The seats don’t have a lot of movement because they are “racing seats” they’re built like that to keep you in your seat during high speed turns. My CLA has been to quite a few track days, and the seats are near perfect for it. Also for anyone wondering, the Engine is going to be a 2.0L Turbo 4cyl. In the 250 it makes about 208hp. It’s a fun car, but WILL get gapped by a lot of other German cars in the same category. If you are looking to make more power out of your 250 an ECU tune is an absolute must. I got a stage 2 tune from a tuner in my area and completely changed the characteristics of the car, giving me an extra 40hp and 75 pound ft of torque. Handling in the CLA is tight with a low center of gravity, the car wants you to throw it through any corner. With good performance tires you can throw these cars through a left hand turn going 35 to 40mph. These cars are great if you don’t mind a lack of interior quality.

I have a Benz, on the registration says it’s a CLA 250, so it is a CLA 250 but the car has the (CLA 45) and (AMG) emblems in the back, and it also comes with the (turbo 4 matic) emblem on the side, I got it with 47k miles, I haven’t done anything to the car cause I got it like 2 months ago, but the car has a turbo and it’s way faster than a regular CLA 250 so I think the guy who had it before did all that stuff to the car, but weird thing is, he ended up returning it to the dealership idk if I should take those fake emblems or leave them cause it ain’t not regular CLA 250 I smoke other CLA’s, last time I even smoke a scat, and M4 so it made me realize the guy who had it before made it faster

Ur missing out, get a SD card for it, you get the full access to the car, blind spots detectors etc… but the car doesn’t need to have a good interior, sure it feels cheap, but when you’re driving it, it won’t, it’s also my first car and I’ve loved it ever since I’ve bought it.

Great review. I just bought a 2016 CLA 250 4matic in nov 2019 and I gotta say I love it so far. It is a bummer that they did cheap out in some places, especially the interior plastics. Fortunately none of the hard plastics rattle or are surfaces that you touch a lot except the center console area. As for the lag, it is more to do with the pedal being electronic and not hard wired. They do sell chips that help mitigate it and I'm looking forward to trying that out soon. Also the 4matic system worked well in the winter here in Chicago so thats a plus.

Still have this car in my garage, will never unload it. One thing that separates it from the modern CLAs - the dual exhaust is actually functional. Have a reach down on the 'exhaust pipe' of the 2020 model and feel the plastic....smh. Long live the illuminated Mercedes badge as well.

I dont know why but the sport version I have looks so much better inside. Feels rather luxurious to me, but each to their own. Ive got ambient lighting, red trims, red stitching in the seats, front and rear sensors, park assist, reversing camera, electric folding mirrors, my door sills light up etc. I think the drive is fine also, I test drove both the 4matic and FWD and bought the FWD. If you like this car buy it. Maybe with the extras as it looks basic without!

I have 2015 I love it , air in the back works well no prob , I agree about the screen but purchased a 10inch side screen and it looks good for a few hundred bucks , passengers seat has all electric functions , headlights looks good with the halogen , looking into getting the Mercedes emblem to light up so far not a expensive detail , cabin noise was a concern but purchased some rubber sealers added them to the inside doors and alot quieter , so I guess a few modifiers but coming from Mercedes these should of been taken care of, all in all a great car no mechanical issues other than maintenance and battery brakes etc ,,,, if you have passengers a bit crammed in the back but it's ok I bought the car for my experience not the passengers. a great car to drive and it looks great

Majapan thank you! I paid my car cash in 2016 so I don’t have a monthly payment. Your payment will be determined by your loan interest rate/credit score & your down payment. Bigger the down payment the lower your monthly payments. From experience, tires will run you $300-500 per tire, lights will run you 300, paint work runs $1,000 and up, yearly maintenance runs $300-500 depending on the service and your local state tax rate.

Joey the 2015 model looks older on the inside. If you want a truly good Mercedes experience I would get the 2020 CLA250. It was completely revamped, more luxurious on the interior and a meaner body style. You get more for your buck on the 2020 such as digital dash, touch screen, ambient lights, wireless charging, better transmission. If your in Tampa, ask for Mecca at Mercedes of Tampa and tell them Orlando sent you. They will hook it up. I hope this helps you transition to Mercedes!

Jamie Starrett acceleration on the 250 has a slight delay. Sport mode is pretty decent. It gets the job done for sure! It can take corners pretty well depending on the speed your going

Alex Sweeney yes, if you open the driver door the car will automatically put itself in park with the E brake on and give you a “risk of rolling away” warning. Just pop it back in drive and disengage the E brake

Chill Tv the 14 CLA look older on the inside. You must do a yearly maintenance which runs from 400-800$ depending on what service is required (A or B Service) the CLA is very reliable, any issues that happened were covered under warranty such as RPM sensor going bad twice, dead battery. The only big expensive is the tires, I have run flats which go for about $500 per tire. I had a cracked tail light that costed $800 to replace. I am hardly in the dealer for any major issues. If you buy pre paid maintenance you should be good to go. I have had my 16 CLA for about 4 years, 40k miles.
