2016 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Review - Inside Lane

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG is powered by a 5.5 litre twin turbocharged V8 engine producing 577BHP and 644 lb ft of torque. 0-62MPH takes just 4.4 second and this luxury car will do a top speed of 187MPH. AMG have indeed worked their magic. Packed full of technology, this S63 AMG sets a new standard.

My dad has the 2014 model of this car. It goes 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 200. Lol this car looks exactly like his too. Same grey outside with same color interior and Amg insignia literally everywhere

I put a couple hundred miles on a S63. Fantastic car! There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. I was a huge fan of the Lexus LS but the S63 kills it. Costs a lot more though..

This 63AMG would have been very impressive if the year was 2010, but it doesn't compare nearly in performance, luxury, and technologically to the P90D. And the P90D costs $40,000 less ...I guess that's why so many discerning luxury buyers have made Tesla the #1 selling large luxury car in America and the world for 2015 and 2016. Mercedes better launch an EV S-Class quick or it will loose it's prestige, of what's left of it.

I'm afraid today luxury can no longer be defined by grade of leather and what kind of exotic wood is in the dash. Luxury for the 21st century is filling up in the privacy of your mansion garage, world class autonomous engineering, centralized command touch center where you can control everything and a car that "becomes smarter" the more you drive it. No engine noise, no tailpipe stench, no scheduled oil, fuel filter changes = lost time & $$ at the dealer =( is a super luxury. Oh and 0-60mph in 2.8 sec puts you in the super elites. If you haven't already, go to a Tesla dealer and learn about it, I promise, you'll see what I'm talking about and more.

I have a 2014 version of this car and its been in the dealership 14 times and for 55 days total. Very noisy inside compared to the standard S550. It rides rough. It makes all kinds of noise from the front end, burns a ton of oil, consumes antifreeze the brakes constantly squeak and they dump break dust over the wheels so bad the car looks filthy 3 days after being cleaned. The best part is MBUSA says its normal and will not fix it. The S63 specs are great. Its impressive at first glance but my Chevy truck is more comfortable and has yet to break. Don't be misled and buy this $165k mistake. This is the worst MB I've ever owned.
