+Video Car Review ; Oh and Jan, just check the wire you plugged in in the second last seat (the rear most left one in the last row) because the cable was going over the metal bar and it shouldn't. Moving the seat back and forth then may ruin it. Check from 45:00 to 45:08.

Da schien beim englischen Review doch einiges mehr schief gelaufen zu sein - bei den Sitzen als bei dem Deutschen... ... macht immer wieder Spaß Dir zuzusehen. Grüße Agabus

Jan, delighted to watch your V Class review. I recently bought the V220d extra long version and we are really delighted with it, replacing a Vito Traveliner. The V Class is so refined and much more refined than its predecessor. It is less like a van and more like a car to drive. It accommodates my large family well and my wife loves to drive it too. I am surprised how much is optional in Germany as most features are standard her in Britain. Great review and I even learned how to use the rear seats better and found the sunglasses holder! Keep up your good work.

I always liked and always wanted a Viano w639 (the perfect youth car combo in my mind) and this V-Class w447 is pretty much perfect. Two things missing is to see more E-Class w213 interior and a hybrid version. But maybe you have to give Brabus or someone a call.

Thanks for the detailed review, helped a lot - trying to decide what would be the best way fwd (family of 6), bigger SUV eg Audi Q7, or something "van like" eg MB V class... Tried the V class the other day, seemed nice, although have noticed a terrible and distorted daylight glare in the plastics covering instrument panel (speed / revs). Seems it's because the way how the transparent plastics was bent in order to accommodate for two round instruments. Terrible. When I look closer on a number of other reviews out there, there is the same glare, although nobody ever mentioned it (?)... One of those thing that once you notice it - you can't stop thinking about it, makes reading the instruments almost impossible :-) Anyhow, hope the upcoming V-class facelift will switch to MBUX, that would remove the problem with virtual cockpit and all. Also, as I would be driving the thing mostly around town, so was wondering if you had any experience driving the 4Matic version - as it has significantly bigger turning circle compared to the rear wheel version? I'm not a fan of rear wheel drive, but the turning circle is important in the city - maybe more than occasional trip to the mountains (eg once-twice a year...)...Thanks again!

Great review. I had not considered this car previously but it is now certainly on my list. Believe it or not, my list includes the Jaguar F-Pace and the Volvo XC90 and will probably include the new Land Rover Discovery when it is revealed later this year. Also on my list is the GL Class, or GLS as I think it is now known. A friend has a new one of these but I think the V Claas would suit me even better. Back to the video…… The armrests. I presume you don't drive with both arms on the armrests at the same time, so it should not matter that their height does not quite match, as long as both are at a comfortable height. Maybe they do this on purpose just to make sure that at least one hand is kept on the wheel. :-)

Kleiner Tipp: in der englischen Version bietet es sich an, Englisch als Sprache im Autosystem zu wählen! ;-) PS: Habe letzte Woche einen V250 gekauft!
