You can pick a used one up the same year as this for £20k I’m looking to buy one of these because I only live 6 miles from where I work, and will only do long motorway trips a few times a year, but want a large car, bigger boot and the 4x4 ability for winter and our weekend adventures with the kids, especially now they’re growing up and need more space. Plus, have you seen the state of UK roads? Potholes everywhere!!! I’ve cycled mor many, many years, and I like the elevated ride height, plus I want to do my bit for the environment. Next step, solar panels!

You can get unlimites mileage if you live in 20km from home to work. My workmates have this and they never even use the gasoline engine!

So, can you actually drive these purely on electric??

159 MPG - Hahahahahahah, I drive sensibly and I get about 36mpg from mine. Unless you are ONLY using it for the school run (and the school is at the end of the road) the EV usage is SO limited its ridiculous.I feel quite insulted by Mitsubishi, they have been very cynical and insulting to their customers with this vehicle.

Mark Martin I live 3 miles from work and 1 mile from the supermarket , I can charge it overnight 2/3 times a week and I can drive for 9 months of the year for free, if you live in the sticks it's not that great but for millions of people it's ideal.

Since you talk so much about the *claimed* fuel economy, if you are claiming to be some sort of motoring journalist, it might be useful if you had a little look at what car makers are, or are not, allowed to say about such things. It is generally agreed that the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_European_Driving_Cycle is rubbish, but it appears that is the only figure the manufacturer is allowed to publish. Which is probably why various manufacturers make a point of saying the mileage is on the official NEDC, so they can blame the government testing bodies. I have the previous shape Outlander PHEV, which is rated at 144mpg on the NEDC. Over the 20,000 miles I've had it, I have averaged 71mpg.
