I just made my ODP team in my state! This makes me so excited for year's to come!! Hopefully my team can make it to the national level

Usually for most states in the middle eastern part of the US, you start at a regional training sessions for around a month. After that, you go into a festival and play for a certain team. If you are selected after that, you are I have made it to the tryouts for the state team. Once you are on the roster for the state team, you play in a tournament. Following this, you can be selected to go to another tryout for internationals. (This is essentially a weekend full of tryouts where are you are surrounded with people from seven or more different states.) If you make the coaches appeal, you are sent to a tournament to play for those states. Then, you can be selected to make it onto the national team. I am currently an alternate goalie for the national team 2009 girls, and I can say it is an extremely long process. However it is very rewarding if you ever want to make a college team professionally.
