Why is the right lane hooking so much harder doesn't it have more oil?

the left lane is the badger pattern and is 52 feet long, leaving only 8 feet of backend so as you see there's very little hook. the right lane is the wolf pattern which is only 32 feet long, giving the players 28 feet of backend.
