2016 Porsche 991.2 Carrera 4S (Turbo) POV Drive on Winding Roads

Recently, thanks to DriveAuto.it, I had the opportunity to test drive the 2016 Porsche 991 Carrera 4S MK2 on some beautiful winding roads in Germany, near the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife. Even with two turbos the car sound pretty good from the inside!

Doc Moore they sure are, these turbo Carreras are fast. Add a tune and you’re at 500 hp/tq, which makes it seriously fast.

Is the 4s a better car than the 2s?

depends on what youre looking for the carrera 2 just means rwd whereas the 4s is awd meaning that the 2s will weight less but will get less straight line grip and the 4s will have more straight line grip but will tend to understeer more if on track or being pushed to its cornering limits. for multi season use the awd system will perform better in the snow and will give better grip in wet conditions

Love the roads around the Ring. But i would prefer a N/A Carrera S there, sounds much better and not really slower...or a M3 CSL, unbeatable induction noise! :)) But the new Turbo 911s are great.

malicalik 13 in my eyes the 911 has always been the under the radar best driving sports car, so i dont see why adding turbos would change that. It actually completes the car in a way

Not to knock pick good job here but no need to down shift into second outs too much strain on trans, work 3rd gear and up from there and the 911 will do the rest , don’t be afraid of the turns the car can handle them into 3rd gear rev up and switch gears. Good job overall, get used to her I love my 991.2.
