Best song on the album by a mile. Maybe his best song yet. I’ve listened to it 100 times just the last 2 days

CGagnon5 can you explain the meaning of the song?
@CGagnon54 жыл бұрын
@@irissiri5949 it's about his wife. they split up and he travel to Hawaii every few months to convince her to take him back. the genius.com page also has more info

CGagnon5 oh okay thanks. I am aware of their love story but I wanted to know the connotations of the lyrics like “I’d put the whisky back on the bottle/ put the smoke back in the joint.... put the tears back in your eyes.” is that basically saying, if I could take what I did back?

I think breaking up was easy in the 90s is the best one in my opinion this one being the 2nd.

This song is by far his best. He needs to make an entire album focused on more traditional real emotion country. He does so damn well!

Billybob puntman agreed! I was highly disappointed when the album came out and the song sounded so different than the version he played here,it sounded a lot sadder and I could really feel his pain in this performance,it was so beautiful!

Does his voice remind anyone else of Garth Brooks back in the day?

I would listen to more of his music if he did this. The whole talking and then singing and then talking is not his bread and butter. This is.
