Does anyone have any info on buying a replacement motor? Seems like no one has them in stock, they just want you to buy the whole rack and pinion with the motor on it. Doesn't make sense to me if its that easy to change. My motor locked up like it was hitting the end limit each way when the wheels weren't even moving. I crawled under and unplugged the motor and I was able to turn the wheels, It was just super hard. Got it home, jacked up the front end to take the weight off the wheels and it turns just fine. As soon as I put weight back on the wheels it goes back to like its turned all the way to one way or the other. Makes me think it has to do with the control module which is built into the motor. I seen there was a recall on the motors so I took it to the dealership to see if they would fix it due to the recall and they want 2K to replace it all. They looked at it and said the gears are stripped out. Which if that was the case I don't think the wheels would turn at all. As soon as I get it back I'm going to tear into it to inspect it myself.

What was your truck doing. I have a 14 Silverado and every time I crank it. It immediately says no power steering drive with care trying to find the issue

Check/clean battery terminals. Follow the 2 ground wires to their connections on the frame and sand/clean connections, add oxguard between those connections to reduce oxidation. While you're under there you might want to spray some contact cleaner in the power steering motors connectors. Worked for me.

If it is the same part number it will work instantly but youll have a light on in your board and stabilitrack off, you have to get a tool to calibrate the new motor
