2016 visit to the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway

Very interesting video. Nice to see the countryside. I like the use of the scissor, or double crossover, points - I employ two sets on me N gauge railway. As a small boy I was given a wooden jigsaw puzzle depicting No7 Typhoon in lighter green livery, without smoke deflectors. I still have the puzzle at age 68.Cheers from Australia. George

It's not the loco length as the length of the tender. It requires that tender size for extra water capacity due to the RH&DR railway (13.5 miles) being twice as long as the R&ER railway (7 miles).
