The car's engine sounded really high pitch. Sounded like a bench saw running in the background. Toyota might want to look into that.

@@8TROKS The high pitch noise comes from the electric motors, in this case MG1 [motor generator 1] which spins whenever the ICE spins.

Japan is quite hilly itself, so Toyota will have looked into this. And it's a hybrid only; why L or S gears when you have an electric motor and battery, too?

Aside from the Eco button and the reverse button this looks like a cheaply made car .. Hard plastics everywhere and no bluetooth.
