I don't think anyone out there makes any trailer or RTV better than Airstream...it's been the best for so long...my grandmother actually lived in one for about 20 years and I can still remember visiting her in the summer time...always loved the trailer...it was the perfect size for her and yes, it was very old, but it just shows you how long Airstream has been around and just how sturdy they have made them. Now, they think of almost everything, to make life so much easier...it's just a lot of knowledge to remember...that would be the hardest for me...of course, I would really prefer to buy one about this size and find a lot and just park it and live in it, like my grandmother did. I would definitely be taking a lot of notes on the most important things to do or not to do...for sure. Thanks Patrick...this was an awesome video and you couldn't have picked a better company to work for.

Oh, no need to thank me at all...I am just a lover of airstreams, when it comes to trailers or a RTV/RV...I did think that your tour was absolutely fantastic though...you covered everything I had a question about...I would own one now, if I could afford it easily, but that will have to wait...hopefully for not too much longer though...take care and best of luck to you

+Janet Browning I'm curious if the "vintage" airstreams had fiberboard like these new ones or real solid wood. the floors in rv's usually weaken and need replaced cause they have no legit undercoating or aluminum to shield from water and dirt that makes it to underside when moving. also idk why being known for "all aluminum" why not aluminum chassis/trailer it is all built on.

The Nest was a concept idea that Airstream purchased. Airstream has no immediate plans for production.

Yes, I am an Airstream owner. I have owned a 1968 Caravel and a 2007 Airstream Basecamp.

I've been lurking for 4+/- years, ever since I was able to start using my eyes; I was a Union Sheetmetal Worker just earning my pension one job to the next, climbing the ladder & making my own and then I am now a survivor of a catastrophic commercial accident. I was also a teacher at the Hall, 1 of 4 .. training my pension, teaching them the skills I have so that I keep my paycheck until I die ... The rivets. That's what first started me watching .. pausing .. trying to focus and force the left eye to use the left eye instead I had double right vision & with the oO injuries to my brain wound just count the rivets. Counting for square ... you know, 3 then four up (no need to ..). The obvious material with the exact amenities so that you could live humanly or sack it up take your shirt off, wifey got all the windows open with the shades down workin her thumb really hard on getting the awnings down; putting our flower boxes in their places under each window, pitcher of freshly squeezed limes & lemona's on the sand (bait for the stuff that will now not be looking for us) for Margaritas ... can't wait. Everyday I watch ... knowing that having watched your & your wife & every trailer, every abbreviation, every option, every video you made, so while I did dream in my sleep ... I knew ... that if I just patiently dreamed and kept watching seeing every new update and limited edition .. I knew .. that the one thing I could get out of everything this accident has taken from me .. it will give me the blessing of being able to pull into your lot with my 1st gift to myself, something a guy my height should be driving, big ole Ram 3500 MegaCab ... Should you be outside on the lot that day and you see a Ram that is just so big .. so built for a tall guy who likes everything matte black so that the AirStream shines. The Sled pulls the shiny stuff. My second gift will be to pay you in cash for the exact model my wife picks out as I sit in the office and start filling out paperwork for all the extras we're going to either order or put on and wait overnight or idk ... when Wifey says this one .. we go look, see if my drop hitch is low enough, 12-18"s should work, I'm only going up 6"s .. maybe go out to dinner together if possible. Then I give an honest man gives me the honest price, no crying on my behalf ..I pay to play .. you count the $100 bills with the machina even though their bank wrapped vapor sealed at $50k and $10k stacks ... give a tip to the guys .... always bring beer ... I grew up not far, far tho, but same rules .. 2 cases for the men pays all the bills.. You're going to make my dreams come true & I'm patiently waiting for the day. You'll know. It'll be the Ram. It'll be that different yet matte black ... prob the running lights going all down the bottom .... See you sometime, sooner, yet definitely.
